Root Weld Spacing Gauge
Easy operation determines root
weld spacing
1. Unlock the retaining screw.
Press the gauge legs Beyond
the barrel.
1. Unlock the retaining screw and
insert the gauge interior
alignment stops between
the two pieces of material to
be fitted.
2 Insert the legs into the root gap
space or the two pieces of pipe
to be fitted. Turn the gauge 90º
being careful to apply a constant
back pressure to the barrel.
3. Hold the gauge as square as
possible to the fitting to obtain
an accurate reading. Lock the
retaining screw. Reverse the 90º
turn and remove the gauge. You
are now ready to read the
increment opposite the line.
4. When the line aligns with the
1 increment line you have
good alignment and fit-up.
Misalignment can be
determined from the zero line
by increment markings of 1mm.
2. Insert the leg with the longer
taper into the root gap until it
makes contact with both sides
of the material.

Original
Only Angle-Arc Torches work efficiently with the natural
angles and movements of the arm and wrist. This major
advance in gouging and cutting equipment delivers rugged
reliability. The parts and service support and the complete
technical back-up that have made ArcAir the number one
name in air carbon torches.
10
For all types of fabrication
Angle-Arc torches are highly efficient metal removal tools for
fabrication jobs in steel fabrication plants, shipyards, railroads,
farms... anywhere people want to save time and money. They
speed up weld removal, backgouging, edge preparation,
defect repair and many other metal removal jobs. And they’re
ideal for almost all metals - with little or no deformation because their heat input is so low.

Cutting Torches
Koike MK-150
A cleaner cut, more compact torch
The Koike MK-150 is the most compact of our cutting torche series. This means
the Koike MK-150 is light, small and can easily handle any situation. The balance is
just right, like all other MK torches, with gas tubes of stainless steel for strength.
Also, the MK-150, like the other MK torch, uses a triple land tip mixing system that
greatly reduces the risk of flashback and backfire, and even if flashback should
happen, the torch would suffer only minimal damage.
Try the clean-cutting, safe Koike MK-150. The koike MK-150 is designed for many
applications, therefore is very efficient: by changing tips depending on the job,
one MK cutting torch fulfils various functions.
Select the appropriate one for your job as there are two kinds of MK-150, one with
a 90º angle head and the other with a 75º head.

Koike Apollo Coupling Series
Gas welding/cutting operating
a must for safety and efficiency.
Koike has always been after higher safety and easier handling in
developing its gas welding/cutting equipment. This Apollo
Coupling is one of the outstanding results of koike’s efforts.
The Apollo Coupling is fitted to the outlet pipe, connecting hose,
and the welding/cutting machine and outfit, removing possible
risks accompanying the gas welding/cutting operation and making
preparation and maintenance of the welding/cutting machine easy.
Futhermore, each type is specially designed for oxygen or fuel gas
so as to prevent any error in connection.

Moderate in price, the BEAVER offers features and advantages over
similar models. “One-hand system” is used for all drive and cutting
operations, the thumb controlling the power switch and jet oxygen
lever, the index finger the speed control and the clutch. Releasing
the clutch puts the machine onto automatic operation. The unit can
be easily fitted on its rail for bevel cuts of up to 45º. The BEAVER can
also be equipped with a circle cutting device for automatic cutting
of circles of from 30mm up to 1000mm radius.

The IK-54D is a precision built gas cutter designed for high
production accuracy. Cutting oxygen and motor can be actuated at
the same time, and adjustment and control functions are located
near the torch for maximum operating convenience. Template
holder adjustment has been made easier, and the powerful

Use of H-shape steel has been increasing by leaps and bounds in
recent years, and with this increase there has subsequently been great
demand for portable gas cutting equipment that is efficient and
accurate. It is to meet this demand that the MINI MANTIS was designed
and built. As the name suggests, the MINI MANTIS is a smaller type of
the highly successful MANTIS, and is a result of KOIKE’s long experience
in this field. MINI MANTIS – it gives a maximum performance!
For accurate easy pipe
cutting, the PICLE is
indispensable. The PICLE is
driven by chain and can be
moved easily from place to
place. It is possible to
quickly and easily cut
pipes of a wide range of
diameters and thicknesses.
Gear ratio is kept very low
for smoothness, and there
is no backlash in forward

placed near the operator
and well away from the

Silver and Brazing Copper Alloys
These cadmium bearing alloys generally offer the best combination
of melting range, flow characteristics and mechanical properties.
However, stringent Health and Safety precautions must be observed.
These phosphorous bearing alloys are recommended for fluxless
brazing copper, and may also be used on brass and bronze with the
application of Easy flo or flux.

Easy-Flo Flux
These cadmium free alloys represent the ultimate safety precaution
against cadmium fume. Their use has been widely adopted as
substitutes for Easy flo and is highly recommended. In some
applications cadmium free is obligatory e.g. food handling equipment.

Induction Heating Systems
With the new ProHeat™ 35 induction heating system, joints can
be rapidly and uniformly heated for preheat or stress relief with
minimal setup and instruction time. This system induces heat
electromagnetically rather than by using a heating element.
ProHeat 35 Air-Cooled System
Designed for Preheating Applications up to 400° F (04° C),
Optional Digital Recorder
The system can be operated in Manual Programming mode where
a power output is applied to a part for a specified time or in the
Temperature Based Programming mode where the part
temperature is used to control power output. Air-cooled blankets
are available for pipe diameters from 8 to 60 inches or, in the case of
plate, the lengths are from 40 to 197 inches.
ProHeat 35 Liquid-Cooled System
Designed for High Temperature Preheating, Stress Relieving,
and Hydrogen Bake-Out up to 1450° F (788° C), Optional
Digital Recorder
The system can be operated in Manual Programming mode where
a power output is applied to a part for a specified time or in the
Temperature Based Programming mode where the part temperature
is used to control power output. Liquid-cooled heating cables provide
a highly versatile tool for preheating a variety of pipe diameters and
even flat plate. In general, shorter cables are used for a smaller diameter
pipe and are easier to handle and set-up. Longer cables are used for
larger diameter pipe or small pressure vessels and tanks. Great for preheat
applications on geometrics that prevent the use of air-cooled
blankets. More information is available at www.reddarc.com/IHS
