Bedford Comedy Club also returns for the new season in September where the varied line up of comedians is always destined to fill the Harpur Suite with laughter. Philharmonia Orchestra return for their 20th anniversary in October and kick start the new season playing two of the best-loved works of all time – Chopin’s serene First Piano Concerto and Dvorák’s New World Symphony. If rock music is more to your taste, the Bon Jovi Experience is back to perform some of the greatest hits from the best stadium rock band of all time. Chas & Dave, The Animals and Hawkwind will all bring their own unique sounds courtesy of our partnership with PAD ENTS. It’s never too early to think about Christmas and if you have not yet organised your work party, give me a call and we can organise it all for you, from the room decoration, entertainment, technical support and the catering. All you need to do is bring your colleagues and enjoy the party. We also have a mixed party on Saturday 13th December in the Main Auditorium with a ‘Through the Decades’ theme and includes a meal, live band and a disco. Reflecting on the good things, she celebrates her haphazard, zigzag towards her dreams. She introduces us to friends, family and total strangers who have helped her on her personal Yellow Brick Road.. Lindisfarne was Tyneside’s best-loved band for over thirty years and The Lindisfarne Story is a celebration of the group’s music and achievements. The show is devised, written and performed by drummer/founder member Ray Laidlaw, and Billy Mitchell, front man for the final eight years of the group. Ray and Billy perform acoustic versions of Lindisfarne’s classic songs and tell the inside story of the group’s rise to fame illustrated with personal photographs, archive video and rare music tracks. From Whitley Bay to San Francisco Bay, from Rothbury to Glastonbury. She’s feisty, flirty and effortlessly funny she handles every subject with a razor sharp wit, softened only by her deliciously dizzy delivery and endless charm.
