ERP/HR System(s) – Personnel Register
Promineo MPP is designed to receive personnel data from an existing ERP/HR system. By
using these data Promineo MPP can calculate the Capacity of the organization and split that
Capacity into the organizational units that personnel are allocated to (Departments). In the
event there is skill information available against personnel Promineo MPP may receive such
data. In the event there is expended man-hours available (Per person per project per time
unit) Promineo MPP may receive such data and use it to quality assure planning of
personnel (planned vs actual).

Projects
Projects enter their personnel need into Promineo MPP by specifying Positions. These
Positions contain a Start date, Finish date and %-load. A position may also be split into
multiple loads, (e.g. 20% for a period, then 50% for a period, then 15% for a period).
Promineo MPP utilizes a Position Type to identify and code the position against a
predefined list of types of positions (e.g. Project Manager, Piping Engineer Level 4, etc).
The Position Type also identifies the Resource Owner / Department Manager that is
responsible for assigning a person to the position. A Calendar is assigned to the position to
allow the calculation of man-hours and specifying working days / hours. By default a new
position created by a project is TBN (To Be Nominated), i.e. it has not been decided which
person will fulfill the position. A TBN position is sent to the workspace of the responsible
Resource Owner / Department Manager to assign a person to the position. The screenshot
below (figure 2.) shows the screen where projects input positions into Promineo MPP.

Resource Owner / Department Manager(s)
Resource Owner / Department Manager uses his/her workspace in Promineo MPP to
monitor load / overload of personnel and assigns or re-assigns his subordinates to
positions. When a project has specified a new position it appears on the Resource Owner /
Department Managers workspace as a TBN (To Be Nominated). The Resource Owner /

Department Manager may then assign the position to one of his subordinates, or he may
tag it as TBR (To Be Recruited) or TBH (To Be Hired). Promineo MPP provides functionality
for absence planning (vacation or leave) as well as monitoring of end dates for hired in
personnel or personnel on loan from other organization units (Intercompany). The

Owner / Department Manager. The screenshot below (figure 4.) shows one type of

Management Reports
By capturing the work process of staffing, Promineo MPP provides organizations with an up
to date and accurate database of personnel capacity and need that can be used for
reporting and analysis. By adding potential projects to Promineo MPP, such as Tenders and
Prospects, it is possible to use Promineo MPP as a strategic planning tool for organizational
development or assessment of fitness of a specific project into the resource availability
profile of the organization. Promineo MPP features a Report Designer that allows customer
specific reports to be developed as well as a Data Analyzer that is a powerful tool for
analysis and drill-down on the live data. The screenshot below (figure 5.) shows the report
launcher.
