and Queensland South Native Title Services
invite you to celebrate
Kalkadoon People Native Title
The Federal Court of Australia has scheduled a native title
consent determination hearing for the Kalkadoon People at
11am, Monday 12 December 2011 at the Mount Isa Civic Centre.
Formal celebrations will be held at the Mount Isa Civic Centre from
9am to 3pm on Monday 12 December. Please join us for traditional
ceremonies, special presentations, lunch and live entertainment.
All Kalkadoon People are also invited to a Gala Dinner, sponsored by event
partner Xstrata Mount Isa Mines, from 6pm at the Mount Isa Civic Centre.
Tickets are available from the Civic Centre for $30 - hurry, seats are limited.
Family festivities in honour of the occasion will also be held throughout the
day on Tuesday 13 December, beginning with a march at 9am from the
Kalkadoon Tribal Council (Marian St, near Outback At Isa) to George
McCoy Park for food, entertainment and activities.
