Mr. Kusznir has been with Precast Services, Inc. since 2007 and has been
a Project Manager on the East Coast for many successful projects. Mr.
Kusznir earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University in
Civil Engineering. His work experience spans a diverse range including
sales, Project Management, and Director Level Positioning.
Mr. Ron Cooper II was a field engineer for Precast Services, Inc. from
1989 through 2000 and then returned to school and received an Associates Degree in Architecture from the University of Kentucky and completed an engineering program at Kentucky State University. Ron then
returned to Precast Services, Inc. in 2005 as a Project Estimator and Project Manager.

PSI Welcomes Barbara Dove
Precast Services, Inc. is pleased to announce Mrs. Barbara Dove has joined the
Precast Services, Inc. family as our Office Manager in our Columbus, Ohio office.
This position was formerly held by Diana Perlenfein prior to her early retirement
this past February.
Barbara grew up in Indiana and lived in Michigan, where she met her Husband
Barry. After living in Michigan for 26 years, they moved to Ohio. Barbara graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Retailing. Barbara
had worked in operations management prior to raising her daughter Rebecca, then returned to the
workforce as an office manager.

As you read from the cover story, on September 1, 2009, Barry Cooper appointed me as President of the
Company. This is a role that certainly comes with many responsibilities, especially as we face an economy that
is in a significant downturn, the likes of which may be the most challenging of our lifetime. As President, I have
a responsibility to our customers and to our employees to continue to provide the high level of service and
opportunity that our company has provided over the last 20 years. Many thanks are due to those who have
worked for and with the company over those years to mold the company into one of the most respected independent precast erectors in the country. As we transition, we need to search within ourselves to explore new
opportunities to thrive in ever changing economies.

Hexavalent Chromium
Fumes from welding processes, particularly
when welding stainless steel, contain compounds of Chromium, including Hexavalent Chromium, which is considered to be
a potential lung carcinogen.
The economy of 2009-2010 will be known throughout history as a challenging time. The current outlook for
our industry appears to brighten up towards the end of 2010 to the early part of 2011. At that time, we will
surely see opportunity that can only be seized by companies that have aligned themselves with strong personnel and customers that are committed to excellence. In order to prepare ourselves for this future, we must
put forth our best efforts to sustain relationships with our current customers and welcome opportunities with
new customers. With this recipe, our company will emerge as a company that people want to continue to
work for, and one that customers want to work with.
Stainless steel welding rods typically contain Chromium which
is converted to Hexavalent Chromium when heated. The
OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) for Hexavalent Chromium is 5 ug/m3 per eight (8) hour shift.
I would also like to thank all of our employees and their families for their service and loyalty over the years.
Furthermore, I thank our customers for sticking with us at a time when there are many choices. I look forward to serving you all in the years to come. It has been said that wise leaders surround themselves with excellent people. I could not ask for more when it comes to the employees of Precast Services, Inc.
Hexavalent Chromium can enter the body by being inhaled or
swallowed. Chromium dust can also get on cigarettes and can
be swallowed if the dust gets on your hands and clothing, or in
food or beverages.
To prevent overexposure, employees must implement engineering controls which Precast Services, Inc. has in place, such
as ventilation to keep the fumes away from the breathing zone.

“Employee Spotlight”
Silica
Crystalline Silica is a basic compound of soil,
sand, granite, and many other minerals.
There are three (3) forms of silica, all of
which become respirable size particles when
workers chip, cut, drill, or grind objects that
contain silica.
Silica overexposure is a potential serious health threat to
millions of workers in the United States. Repeated exposure
to silica can cause Silicosis, a condition for which there is no
cure.
Respirable silica dust enters the lungs and causes the formation of scar tissue, thus reducing the lung’s ability to take in
oxygen. Since Silicosis affects lung function, it makes one
more susceptible to lung infections like Tuberculosis.
OSHA is currently working to lower the current Permissible
Exposure Limit (PEL) of 10 mg/m3 per eight (8) hour day.
Welders must also position themselves in a manner which the
fumes are directed away from their breathing zone. Hand
washing stations are also provided and must be used for personal hygiene.
When cutting, drilling, or grinding Precast concrete, to prevent overexposure, employees must implement engineering

Precast Services, Inc. is blessed with many great employees. The intent of “Employee Spotlight” is to recognize
these individuals for their accomplishments, loyalty, and dedication.
One of these individuals is Leslie Bowers. Leslie has been working in the Accounting Department since 2006
and her primary duty is processing accounts payable. Leslie is one of the most important employees in the
office because she is usually the first person you will speak with when you call the Twinsburg office. This, however, is only one small segment of her job.
Leslie’s recordkeeping skills are tested by keeping track of all field checks as well as coordinating hotel rooms
throughout the country for our Foremen. Another challenging duty is keeping track of the project managers
as they go about their travels.
For these and others reasons too numerous for this space, our “Employee Spotlight” shines on Leslie Bowers.

Devon Contracting, Inc. will soon complete erection of a 2,400 car, eleven
story parking garage which is part of Phase 1 of a massive plan by Brandywine Realty Trust and the University of Pennsylvania to develop a dramatic
residential, commercial, and hotel project on 30th Street between Chestnut
and Walnut Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Referred to as the Cira Centre South project, construction of the office and
residential towers are planned to begin following the conversion of the
862,000 square-foot Postal Service Building to the new Regional Headquarters for the IRS. Half of the spaces within the parking garage will be dedicated to the IRS.
The towers were designed by Pelli Clark Pelli, the architectural firm that
created the prismatic Cira Centre Building, completed in 2007 just north of
the 30th Street Station.
