They have a well-deserved reputation for producing some of the best food in the world. For 50 years, Sopexa Group has been helping businesses in the food and lifestyle sectors to grow on the national and international marketplace. On the strength of this experience, we launched in 2004 the “Apéritif à la française” with the support of the French Ministry of Agriculture. L’Aperitif in France is the mellowest moment of a day in France, a delightful interlude between the day’s activity and a pleasurable meal. The aperitif is a lifestyle, a time for sharing and togetherness that unites people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Bringing together around the globe food & beverage industry professionals, consumers looking for something new, foodies and epicurean, the aperitif a la Francaise celebrates its 10 years anniversary worldwide. A concept that just gets better every year! This year event invites you to immerse yourself in the French lifestyle through 4 typical aperitif scripted scenes: • Bistrot: featuring typical romantic Parisian Aperitif. • At home: presenting the traditional aperitif moment in a Provence-style atmosphere. • Boheme : iconic image of the aperitif and the art of improvising. • Club : reflecting the trendsetting France, that of the “French touch”. A concept that just gets better every year! At the inaugural launch in Paris in 2012, the BADOIT Express launched as a train carriage takeover to unsuspecting commuters. Travellers were both surprised and delighted to find they were being treated to a fine dining gastronomic experience by a Michelin-starred chef, Thierry Marx. Ninety waiters wearing bow ties, waistcoats and carrying a waiter’s cloth served 400 commuters on route to central Paris a three-course meal, accompanied by BADOIT. Their mundane usual commute was transformed to a memorable fine dining experience. Crêpe, a sweet childhood memory Paysan Breton’s recipes, passed down from generation to generation, are an invitation to discover a culinary heritage that combines simplicity and the authentic taste of Brittany. Among the many culinary delights that this region on the French west coast, has to offer, the Crêpe is one of its most symbolic. Paysan Breton has created traditional Breton Crêpes, now available in the UAE and new must have of most French families living in Dubai. ® LA GAZETTE DE L’APÉRITIF . 10 June 2013 . A LA LORRAINE Royal Jam A legacy from the past Awarded Oyster from Brittany Saveurs de France are looking for a high end quality partner to import and distribute their exclusive range of seafood in the Gulf region, as well as promote their “savoir-faire” within the tradition of French Excellence and Heritage. Princesses de Kermancy and La Belle de Cancale are unique brands, fantastic products providing the end-consumer with the quintessential oyster tasting experience, always imitated, never equaled. Since the early 16th century the redcurrant jam was known all over France. At the royal court it was considered a matter of honor to serve these famous jams in their tiny crystal jars. Mary Queen of Scots, on a journey from Reims with her first husband, the French King François II, tasted the jams and compared them to “a ray of sunshine in a jar”. The red or white currants are hand seeded by extremely dexterous ladies using a feather quill. Once seeded, the currants are plunged into a boiling sugar solution. This method keeps the currants whole whilst preserving their full flavor and bright color. Current production method is still based on this age-old local tradition.
