Resettlement works begin
Works begin on resettlements for the villages of Patilla and Chancleta.

Comprised of a total of 13.7 built-up hectares, a healthcare centre, community care offices, public recreation
spaces, and football fields are just some of the benefits
that will be enjoyed by the communities of Patilla and
Chancleta in their new villages.
The construction, which is moving forward following
the signing of the Works Initiation Agreement between
the contractor Coninsa Ramón H and the Cerrejón Resettlement and Lands Division, is a reality today that
will improve the quality of life for these resettlement
families.
Located next to the new village of Roche, on the trunk
road leading from Fonseca, two kilometres from the
municipality of Barrancas, these works will promote
continuity and safeguard the social fabric of these three
communities of Roche, Patilla, and Chancleta.

Symphonic Orchestra

On 28th January, the youth from the Symphonic Orchestra went to Cartagena to perform at the Hay Festival. While there, they met many important people including Pep Durán, Gaby Wood, and other people from
the industrial sector. Their performance took place in
the Santo Domingo Cloister.
Two youths from the community of Chancleta, Juana
Pérez Daza and Juan Manuel Pérez Daza, were among
the 90 youths.
