The summit will spotlight the latest game trends and business opportunities in emerging
market in the Middle East. The focus of this summit will be Mobile Games, Online Games,
Game Anti-Piracy, Games Development, Media & Game and Special Presentation Events. DWGS

their gaming experiences. New
innovation in mobile phone technology means
we can now interact with games like never
before. The new multi-platform game from
N-Gage, Reset Generation, is a great example
of this. Kay Grunwoldt talks more on how he
technologies within today’s mobile handsets,
e.g. accelerometers, motion sensors and
cameras, means we’re seeing mobile games
reach new levels. The inclusion of GPS systems
in mobile devices will also create a new genre
of gaming where success and completion of a
game depends on interaction with gamers in
your neighborhood or on the other side of the
world. Imagine a game where you’re relying
on another gamer thousands of miles away to
help you complete your task, and imagine the
feeling when that gamer succeeds – you’ve
won the game and made a friend.

urrently, Jay Wilbur holds the position of
Vice Present of Business Development
to Epic Games where he works as part of
the Epic management team. Previously, Wilbur
was the co-owner and business manager (a.k.a.
“biz guy”) of id Software, a highly successful
computer game development company. At id,
Wilbur managed all of the company’s business
activities including developing, implementing
and maintaining id’s highly successful direct
and retail distribution strategies for such
blockbuster titles as Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of
Destiny, DOOM, DOOM II, Final DOOM, QUAKE
and all related ancillary software/non-software
products.

organization focused on accelerating the
growth of developers, publishers, educational
institutions and governments in their pursuit
of achieving a strong game industry. Cyrus
has over 20 years of experience in game
production, development and management
roles with both publishing and independent
development companies, and was most
recently Studio Art Director (Oct 2004 - Feb
2008) of Midway Studios-Austin, where he
helped to grow the company from 50 to over
150 employees.
