all of them have a passion for Kochi cuisine and local ingredients,
and their attention to detail is not affected by the changing trends of the day.

Another Showa thing has faded away…
Inside the factory, though everyone
has disappeared, I seemed to hear
women breathing.
The factory’s machines and tools,
having played their part,
still lie calmly here and there.
Raw silk used to be
such a thriving industry.
For the many years
from 1917 to 2005,
Fujimura Silk Mill was a mainstay
in the culture of silk.
It should be sad for me to stand
by and see the end of the factory.
However, I had an exciting
time taking photos.

Working as a photography lecturer and conducting a seminar on photography abroad.
Currently living in Misono-cho, Kochi City
