As incoming ECC Director, I am looking forward to continuing our outstanding programming for each of our young students and their families. We are committed to nurturing each child’s natural love of learning while integrating Jewish values and cultures, all in a creative and stimulating environment. Our seven one week session program features classes for children ages 7 months through entering Kindergarten. Our youngest children and parents begin their journey in the ECC Family Center. Family participation classes include programming for parents and children 7 – 24 months. Our Family Center makes a great entry into our program. Preschool 2-4 years old We offer classes 5 days per week this summer. A rotation of activities will fill your child’s day. Summer themes will be explored through imagination, creative play and theme related special visitors. Daily activities will include water play, arts and crafts, Jewish celebrations and more! Camp Simcha - Entering Kindergarten Looking for a camp that combines the best of your summer memories, with Jewish content, in a small and nurturing environment? This is it! With special on-site fieldtrips, your child’s day will be filled with fun. Activities will include Jewish character building, arts and crafts, sports, cooking, science, and music. We have something for every child. Camp Simcha is for children who are entering Kindergarten. This program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our a.m. and p.m. daycare are also available to our Camp Simcha friends. See our Extended Care Program for details. Afternoon Programming Temple Beth El’s optional Enrichment classes are held 5 days per week from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. each day for our preschool students. After lunch, at 12:30 p.m., your child will move on to their enrichment class. Children who are at least 3 years of age and toilet trained are eligible for these classes. Monday – Music on the Go Your child will have special time with Gymboree Company with an introduction to music and movement on an early childhood level. Tuesday - Mix ‘n Stir During this time, our campers will create yummy snacks. These hands-on activities will incorporate our summer themes into the treats they prepare. Wednesday – Super Science Children will explore the world of science through hands-on activities and experiments. Thursday – Yoga for Kids In this class our young students will be introduced to basic yoga poses and exercises in a fun developmentally appropriate way. Friday – Amazing Athletes Amazing Athletes has been with us for several years and always proves to be a great enrichment class. This unique tried and tested sports program incorporates balance and hand-eye coordination into an active, fun-filled afternoon. Extended Care Program This optional program is in addition to our core hours. Drop-in care is available on a limited basis. Breakfast Club 8 a.m.—9 a.m. Our early drop off program will run from 8 a.m.—9 a.m. Breakfast is provided, and will vary from day to day. Your child will then have free time to play. At 9 a.m. your child will be escorted to his/her classroom where they will begin their day. Snack Buddies (2 p.m.—3 p.m.) During this period of time, your child will be provided a light, nutritious afternoon snack and enjoy appropriate activities until their three o’clock pick up time. Your child must be picked up by 3 p.m. Policies & Procedures Tuition is due in full on May 1, 2016. No make-up days are available. In addition, no refunds will be given. Enroll in more than 4 weeks of camp and receive a 5% discount on each additional week attended. TBESOC members in good standing will receive 10% sibling discount on the lower tuition and will have enrollment priority. Two payment options are available: 1) Pay by credit card 2) Pay by check. A charge of $25 will be incurred for any declined credit cards or checks. If payment is not received by May 1, 2016 the space may no longer be reserved for the child. We reserve the right to pursue collection of all accounts in arrears for the recovery of all sums past due by cashier’s check. Temple Beth El of South Orange County Early Childhood Center (TBESOC ECC) and related organizations may use pictures of my child in their promotional materials, including both printed and electronic media. Please note: ALL Department of Social Services Forms must be turned in for all new students prior to your child starting school. Hours of Operation Our hours of operation this summer are 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., which includes the following options: • 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.: Breakfast Club • 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Core Program • 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Enrichment Classes • 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Snack Buddies Please note: Camp Simcha runs from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. daily with the option of Breakfast Club and Snack Buddies as well. There is a $25 late pick up penalty for each 15-minute interval that your child is here after their scheduled day. Termination and Withdrawal TBESOC ECC reserves the right to terminate enrollment under any of the following conditions: • Refusal to follow through on the recommendation for therapeutic intervention. • Dangerous and/or abusive behavior by any family member. • Administration determines that the child needs an environment that the Early Childhood Center is unable to provide. • Failure to pay appropriate fees. Illness Policy TBESOC ECC administrators realize the difficulty in finding alternative care for sick children. Adhering to our illness policy is for your child’s protection, the protection of all the children, and the center’s staff. Planning in advance to provide substitute childcare for your child, when sick, will avoid last minute worries. Children who get sick while at the center must be picked up by the parent or other authorized person within one hour of contact. Children running a fever must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to the center. Class Placement Placement of children is based on developmental readiness as well as chronological age. The final decision about placement rests solely with the ECC Director of Education.
