POP / CC App Guide
Use this guide to assist in your evaluations of Point of Purchase (“P.O.P.”) signage and Credit
Card Applications (“C.C. Apps”).
This guide should be reviewed before performing your shop. We recommend that you also
print a copy to take with you until you are completely familiar with P.O.P. and C.C. App
standards for the current month.
As with your checklist, this document should be secured out of view until after the point at
which you have identified yourself to the location as an ExxonMobil Field Rep.
Forecourt P.O.P.:
1. Dispenser
You will be evaluating P.O.P. signage in the following
Forecourt locations:
1. Dispensers a. Pump Toppers
b. Pump Ears
c. Hose Flags
At the Dispenser (1.), you will evaluate if Pump Toppers (a.)
are both present and displaying *current P.O.P attributes.
For Pump Ears (b.) and Hose Flags (c.), you will observe
if these items are present but will not evaluate them for being
current.
2. Canopy Poles - Poles supporting the canopy
3. Perimeter Poles - Other poles used for lot lighting, etc.
4. Building
Canopy Poles (2.), Perimeter Poles (3.), and
the Building (4.) are evaluated to note if P.O.P. signage
is both present and displaying *current P.O.P. attributes.

Current P.O.P. Attributes:
Please note the current attributes for P.O.P. observed on Pump Toppers, Canopy Poles,
Perimeter Poles and Building. Any of the following styles/types are considered current.
Return and Earn
Blue, red, or yellow dot graphic across the top
Shop at Safeway/Dominickʼs
Red top; yellow bottom
Save 10 Cents
Blue background, yellow text
Keep Business Moving
Gray and blue background, blue and
white text

Loyalty Program - Temporary Notice on Pumps:
In the event that the location’s Loyalty Rewards System goes down or is unavailable, you may
see a temporary notice (examples below) affixed to pumps.
The presence of this notice is considered acceptable and should not impact your evaluations
of P.O.P. materials at the pump.
Note also that it is acceptable for this notice to be taped to the pump with clear or masking
tape.

Current C.C. Apps and Application Holder Attributes:
Please note the current attributes for Credit Card Applications observed on Dispensers in the
Forecourt and at Pay Points within the store.

identified by “Save Smart” graphics.
C.C. Apps (Forecourt)
Both “Save Smart” and “Fleet” C.C. Apps are considered
current for display in outside application holders.
