Since its inception, SEACOR has believed in making strategic investments in innovation
and technology. In doing so, the Company continually maximizes the safety, versatility,
and performance of its operations and provides innovative solutions for customers
across the broad range of industries in which it operates.
SEACOR’s offshore marine services subsidiary, SEACOR Marine, has invested $1.2 billion
since 2005 in offshore vessels and equipment. In 2007, SEACOR Marine unveiled its
revolutionary DP2 CrewZer Class vessels introducing exceptional technological innovation,
speed, and comfort into oilfield passenger transportation. The bigger, faster next generation
CrewZer Class vessels, SEACOR Lynx and SEACOR Leopard, offer even higher load capacities,
impressive speeds at 40+ knots and are among the first DP3 crew boats in the world.
SEACOR Marine’s Control Center, located in Houma, Louisiana, is equipped with powerful
software and multiple displays that allow managers to view real-time pictures and video from
its vessels around the world. The Control Center is equipped with ‘SeaView’, SEACOR’s AIS
tracking system, that allows its operational managers to track vessel locations in real-time on
official nautical charts. Real-time video from SatCom-equipped vessels links appropriate onshore
professionals with personnel offshore to facilitate time-critical emergency medical support,
technical support, or other support required through a real-time, simultaneous video feed.
Inland River’s fleet is also equipped with software and multiple displays that allow managers at the
Company’s St. Louis, Missouri, headquarters to view real-time video onboard equipment and at
strategic locations throughout its operations.
