ENDING HUNGER AND POVERTY Mirroring last year’s theme, the event will raise awareness and, more important, resources for marginalized women and their families worldwide. Heifer realizes the integral role that women have in our mission of ending hunger and poverty and we will celebrate the active commitment of women dedicated to positively impacting countless others to achieve their dreams of hope, happiness and prosperity. During Emmy Awards week 2014, Heifer International will hold its 3rd Annual Beyond Hunger event at the beautiful Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The event will offer corporations a platform to reach new audiences and build awareness of their commitment and support of: • • • • Empowering Women Enabling girls’ education Promoting women’s entrepreneurship Fostering overall gender equity and justice Additionally, the event will: • • • Focus on Heifer’s work to end hunger and poverty worldwide Build on the three-quarter billion media impressions from past Beyond Hunger events to raise awareness of Heifer International and our sponsors Further expand, engage and strengthen our celebrity support for Heifer’s work with the entertainment community 3 BEYOND HUNGER SUPPORTERS In 2012, Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson were the evening’s special honorees for their support and commitment to the goals of Heifer International.
