Emmanuel Deepti OFFICIAL NEWS LETTER OF ECFC MINISTRIES MUCH FAR TO GO. By the immense grace of the Almighty, we have established MUCH MORE over 1416 House-Churches and 47 Central Churches since the TO DO. last 30 years. The Lord blessed the hard labor of Rev. E A Abraham and his fellowMissionaries with favorable harvests. Our laities have been experiencing a progressive transformation ever since ECFC’s establishment. We have far to go. Being on the 30th year of formal existence, we have the following noble intentions in our minds for the glory of HIS name. MASS WEDDING FOR 30 UNPRIVILEGED YOUNG COUPLES. Women are the most exploited in India. The birth of a girl child is still considered as a curse for the family due to the huge expenses of her marriage. ECFC is keen to conduct a mass wedding with all support for at least 30 couples this year. 30 MOTOR-BIKES FOR MISSIONARIES. 60 % of our missionaries are still using bi-cycles to travel miles and miles. This is the main factor which slows down the spreading of Gospel in this area. A motor bike is a convenient mode of transportation in the hostile regions of our vineyard. The harvest from the vineyards would have doubled if all of our missionaries could get a motor bike each. It is one of a major stumbling block we face nowadays. BUILD AT LEAST 3 CHURCH BUILDINGS. ECFC ministry is backed by 47 Central Churches. It is a sad fact that only 6 centers have its own worship spaces (Building). The rest of the churches are functioning from rented spaces only. We are praying for 3 church buildings each one in the States of West Bengal, Chhattisgarh & Jharkhand. We are seeking the kind co-operation and support from our sponsors and well-wishers to fulfill this dream. MEGA CONVENTION. If it is God’s will, our staff, Board Members, a thousand representatives from our various churches, and their families will join in the name of the Lord in Patna from October 30th to November 2nd to thank "HIM" for all His faithfulness through extreme protection and provision for the last 30 years. This shall be the first ever mass gathering of the representatives of our churches. So, please pray and convey this prayer request to your fellow-brethren too. Please join us on this blissful occasion in Patna, MISSIONARY OF THE MONTH …….. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 Sikhandharpur is a small township of the State Uttar Pradesh sharing boarder with the state of Bihar. It is believed to be built by the legendary emperor Alexander. ‘Sikhandar’ is how Alexandar is known in many Eastern languages. The town is famous for perfumes like gulabjal, keora jal, jasmine oil, rose oil and attar. Several types of flowers are cultivated here. According to the 2001 census, it had a population of 21790 peoples. Arun was the only believer when he started the ministry there. And now, the church in Sikhandartpur is consistent with more than one hundred baptized believers. Praise God that the fragrance of Gospel is spreading all over the area. He is a Bible graduate and an ordained pastor of ECFC ministries. Arun Kumar was born into a Hindu family in Baliya of Uttar Pradesh. The life showed no mercy on young Arun, and his desire of obtaining a standard livelihood turned into a nightmare when he was evicted from his own home. His parents considered him as a feeding monster. He had no one to express his sad feelings as nobody wished to make friendship with such a lazy fellow. The public laughed at and openly mocked him. Arun wandered around along the streets like a zombie. He could not stop screaming when he recollected looking back over the years. He could not figure out a single face that cared for him. His emotions were destroyed; and even his body felt him weird. In short he barely felt alive. Arun thought it would be such a relief for him to be dead. He knew the need to kill himself and chose to end his life consuming poison. He set a right time and location for suicide. The found the streets as better shelter for the time being. THE TURNING POINT A couple of days before the deadline, Arun happened to meet a God’s servant who shared him the great promise of the Almighty. Knowing the emergency and need, the Lord’s servant spent enough time with Arun. He also shared the Eternal Love and the great sacrifice of the Lord. Gradually, he became aware of the stupidity behind the suicidal tendency, hatred and annoy were rubbed out. And he felt relieved. The people around him were amazed to witness the transformation Arun had gone through. They experienced a sense of delight and discipline in his actions. The Gospel made a huge influence in his life. As days went on, he reserved enough time for prayer and Gospel reading. After implanting in Christ Jesus, Arun was baptized on 12th July 1999. A human being who was totally rejected by his own parents, relatives and the society become so precious in the sight of God. THE CALL. He was very clear what the Lord wanted him to do. The Lord gave him a vision to go after him and proclaim the Gospel to those who have never heard of it. In obedience to his call, Arun began to initiate prayer gatherings, distribution of Bible and Gospel Literature etc among his neighbors. He joined ELTC (Emmanuel Leadership Training Centre) for Bible studies and was ordained as pastor in 2010. Now, Arun is preaching his testimony as a living witness of hope to his fellow brethren. Induced by his testimony, many broken souls were saved. His Gospel Ministries produced favorable results and recognition. He was the only Christian when began the ministry. It was only through him that more than one hundred people were baptized and many got saved. And now, Arun is joyfully carrying out his ministry in Sikandharpur (UttarPradesh). HINDRANCES AND PRAYER PIONTS The local church has many hindrances to triumph over. It has neither a church building nor any property. The church choir still makes use traditional instruments. Arun Kumar would be happy to proclaim and spread the Good News in the unreached villages near his town. A motor bike which costs $ 900 is the one and only remedy, since fewer transport facilities available in the remote villages. His ministry needs extra support to function resourcefully. Please pray that the Lord would raise someone to sponsor his Mission field. Let us all uphold Arun and ministries in our prayers as well.
