T erry Grazer
(Director) Terry has been in love with the
theater and directing for more years than he cares to remember. A BFA from the theater program at UW-Milwaukee
with additional study at Penn State University and the University
of Oregon, as well as a season on the design staff with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater are only a small part of his theater
background. For many years, Terry was the primary Director for
the Shorewood Players, directing such shows as The Producers,
Oklahoma! and Jesus Christ, Superstar, to name a few. Terry is the
Artistic Director for Cream City Players, a newly formed children’s theatre company born from the remains of the Modjeska
Youth Theatre, where he was the Artistic Director for two seasons. Cream City Players will begin producing this summer with
a touring children’s show. Terry has directed and acted in England. Locally he has worked with groups such as Waukesha
Civic Theater (directed Two By Two ), the Falls Patio Players
(directed ‘Til Beth Do Us Part ), the Cedarburg Players (directed
The Fantastiks and Nunsense), the West Allis Players, the Bay
Players, and the Suburban Players (directed Annie).

arol Gegner (Ensemble) Carol's last role was Miss Aman-
tha in Bull in a China Shop with The Racine Theater
Guild. She worked extensively with the Richmond Civic Theater (Richmond, Indiana) and won Best Supporting Actress of the
Year for her role in Social Security there. She has been involved
with numerous shows onstage and off. Her behind the scenes
roles include director, stage manager, props and costumes, musical
directing, and playing in the pit orchestra. Carol's college major
was instrumental music education, and she has
directed many hand-bell choirs. She and her
husband Greg have a passion for sailing and
have their Sweet Dreams in Reefpoint Marina
in Racine.

VPW’s 2013-2014 Season
Psyche by Lisa G. Rowe
This suspense comedy/farce is set in present day, spanning 2
hours in a psychiatrist’s office. Edward Baxter was a successful psychiatrist, beloved by his patients, until he is framed for
murder. He seeks help from Dr. Robert Smith, also a psychiatrist with inner demons of his own. When Edward’s meeting
with Dr. Smith goes wildly awry and leaves him clinging precariously to his last shred of sanity, Robert’s patient, Lydia (a
good-hearted psychic with a clue to Edward’s past) arrives and
finds Edward in big trouble. Despite the chaos created by
unexpected visitors and quirks in Lydia’s psychic powers, Lydia
does her best to gain Edward’s trust and help him find justice
as his world rapidly approaches critical mass. Fall, 2013

On a cold, clear moonless night in mid-winter, all is not what it
seems in the mythical town of Almost, Maine. The northern lights
fill the sky and the residents of Almost find themselves in and out
of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised; hearts
are broken. Love is lost, found and confounded. John Cariani’s
play will evoke either a myriad of audience responses, depending on
your affection for its whimsical approach to the joys and perils of
romance. Winter, 2013

MARVIN’S ROOM by Scott McPherson
Bessie, who has been caring for her invalid aunt, Ruth, and her
father who was paralyzed by a stroke, discovers she has leukemia.
Not a likely subject for a comedy, but this warm-hearted play has
many funny moments. Aunt Ruth provides much of the humor.
Bessie’s unconventional and out of touch sister, Lee, arrives with
her two sons (hoping one might be a bone-marrow match for
Bessie). Lee even springs her son Hank, from a mental hospital.
(He burned down the family home!) Lee is not keen on helping
aging relatives, but blood is blood! Spring, 2014

with the Mukwonago Village Players, the Burlington Haylofters,
Lake Country Players, West Allis Players, Waukesha Civic Theater, Lakeland Players and Theatre On Main in Oconomowoc. He
is proud to share the stage tonight with his wife, Bonnie. Some of
Gary’s favorite roles have been “Dr. Zubritsky” in Fools, “Froggy” in
The Foreigner, “Kris Kringle” in Miracle on 34th Street, and “Grandpa” in
You Can’t Take it With You. Gary and Bonnie live in Mukwonago and
have four grown children who have all done theater. He has had the
good fortune to have shared the stage with all of them. As always,
thanks to friends and family for their continued support. Enjoy the
show!

in Harvey, “Polly Benish” in Play On!, “Betty” in The Foreigner,
“Suzanne” in Psyche. Bonnie lives in Mukwonago with her husband,
Gary, and is the proud mother of four grown children. She has been
happy to share the stage with Gary in 17 shows and has been lucky
enough to share the stage with all four of her children and one son-inlaw. As always, she hopes you enjoy the show and thanks all those
who have supported Gary and her throughout the years. Thanks
Mom...and, as always, thanks for the Memories.

this year. She participated, along with her family, in Jesus Christ, Superstar at St. Matthias Catholic Church in February. She hopes to
be able to work with the Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa and
her cast-mates in the future. She is thankful to have her family support her in her theatrical endeavors.

Counsel and Senior Vice President of U.S. Bancorp. He is
also a faculty member of the Graduate School of Banking at the
University of Wisconsin. Nolan’s interests extend well beyond
law—from rock collecting to astronomy; concerts to travel; tropical
gardening to wildlife and astrophotography. Unfortunately, none of
this background prepared Nolan for this show, his first theatrical
endeavor. He does a lot of training at work but, then he can at least
pretend that he knows what he is talking about. Acting in over 30
scenes?! Downright challenging and very scary! But an experience
everyone should try once in their life.
He wants to particularly thank his lovely
wife for all the time she spent helping
Nolan with his lines despite her busiest
season at work. Without her help, the
show for Nolan would simply not have
gone on.
