I was excited to see so many individuals, family members, and community stakeholders
turn out for our STABLE Account Forum that we held on July 26. Between the two
sessions we had over 100 people come to listen to Barry Jamieson, a financial planner
familiar with STABLE accounts. We’re hopeful this information was useful to those
that attended. We also have posted a portion of the presentation on our website in
case you missed it. At these forums we asked those in attendance to give us feedback
on things, as an agency, we should be focused on moving forward into 2017 and
beyond. I will be compiling this information for our Board as we begin planning for
next year.
I am now planning for our next Forum that will take place in November to update
individuals, families, and stakeholders about our proposed plans for 2017. Also at this
forum, we will be sharing about the work that we have been involved with for over
two years in becoming a Sanctuary certified organization. This work has helped us to
become a more trauma informed agency that will ultimately help us see improved
outcomes for the individuals and families that we serve and improve staff satisfaction.
This work, however, doesn’t stop with us internally. It’s meant to go out to everyone
we serve. This forum will introduce some practical ways that we can do that. Finally
we are hearing that there is a need for family support groups in our county. We are
interested in finding out ways in which we can help. Keep an eye on our website and
Social Media sites for when you can expect the forum to occur.
Finally, we have introduced a new satisfaction survey that we
rolled out on our website recently. We are encouraging
recipients of our services to take a few minutes to go to our
website at www.clermontdd.org and complete the survey.
Have a good rest of the summer!

A Hot Time at the Fair This Year!
Despite record temperatures and lots of storms, we had a GREAT time at the Clermont
County Fair. Many thanks to EVERYONE who participated by working a shift at our PR
Booth, the Paging Booth, or the Help Me Grow Booth. And thanks to the Clermont County
Agricultural Society/Fair Board for hosting a great event!

Rusty Ball - October 15
Clermont DD is proud to be a Rusty Ball beneficiary for the SECOND YEAR IN A
ROW! Join us on October 15 for the most amazing night in Cincinnati. The Rusty Griswolds
80’s band will perform all night, an exciting raffle and silent auction will take place, Cincinnati
celebrities will be in the house, AND (best of all) the Clermont DD Empowers Me Board will
receive money from ticket sales and raffle items!
For tickets, visit www.therustyball.com. If you aren’t able to attend but wish to participate, we
are putting together an AWESOME Halloween raffle basket like no other. (We are required
to do a raffle basket, but we get $1 for every ticket that goes into the box for our basket on
the night of the event…last year’s raffle basket raised $1,200 for our agency!) If you wish to
contribute to our raffle, please contact Clermont DD’s Rusty Ball organizer Terri Tolley at
(513) 732-5027 or ttolley@clermontdd.org.
Many thanks to Heather and Lance Wright for volunteering to be our Ballunteers again this
year! (The Wrights are pictured with our Little Red Wagon raffle basket from last year…and
yes, Budweiser was a major sponsor of the event as you can tell by the t t-shirts!)
See YOU at the BALL!!!!
