Proceeds from the Full Moon 5k and Kids’ Run will
benefit kids in need of running shoes. For many years,
Movin’ Shoes has worked with various schools and
local running programs to help children in need and
promote the sport; such as the Hawthorne Girls’ Run
Club, Lincoln Elementary, among others.
The Girls Running Club at Hawthorne Elementary
School in Madison, WI is an after school group that
meets twice a week for lessons and running activities.
Girls discuss self-esteem, health and goal-setting in
the context of training for a 5k. Find more information

Volunteers
The Full Moon 5k is looking for volunteers to help
out with the race, including the kids’ race. The time
commitment is from 6:15pm until the shelter and race
area are cleaned up. Volunteers will receive a specialedition race T-shirt! If interested, call 608.251.0125

Race Day Parking
Parking on race day is very limited, please use the following locations, and plan to get there early so you do
not miss the start! An interactive parking map is also
available on our website at movinshoesmadison.com
1) Lower Commuter Lot Enter from south on John Nolen Dr. at E Olin Ave or from Olin.(will fill fast 40 cars)
2) Main Lot Entry off E.Lakeside(Usually reserved for
boats/trailers) City will allow runners to park in the
larger lot furthest from the boat launch
3) Olin /Turville Ct. (Street Parking)
4) Olin Turville Ct Across E.Lakeside
5) Sayle Street(The street the VFW is on) (Turn off E.
Lakeside at VFW
6) Van Deusen Street(Sayle and Van Deusen connect
at the corner
7) Wingra Parkway(Olin Avenue look for Wingra
Creek bridge.
8) Goodman Pool Parking Lot.(Olin Avenue)

•1st place age group finishers (16 total)

Note: Raffle will start approximately at 9:40 and the
runner must be present to receive prize.
*In accordance with WIAA regulations, high school
athletes are ineligible for awards.

Bernie’s Beach (the intersection of South Shore Dr. and
Gilson St.) and heads west around the bay via West
Shore Dr. to the Brittingham Park bike path. The bike
path runs to John Nolen Dr. and the course continues
along the Nolen–Bay View bike path south to the Olin
Park finish.
