DAS Otomotiv meets its customers
The International Cranes and Transport Turkey Conference, organized with the cooperation of APA Yayıncılık
and KHL, received intense participation and the stall of DAS Otomotiv, the golden sponsor of the conference
and the Authorized Distributor of Terex, received great interest
T
he second International Cranes and Transport Turkey Conference, held
bi-annually, was held with the presentations and participation of many
high ranking managers, academicians and public authorities from Turkey
and abroad. Many prominent people made presentations during the International
Cranes and Transport Turkey Conference and important topics such as the future
of the national economy and the sector, concerns of the sector, best practices from
successfully completed projects, new equipment technologies, etc. were discussed.

The 400 ton capacity Terex CC2400-1 purchased by Sistem Vinç was
assembled by DAS Otomotiv service team
Kerim Başakıncı: “It was a gathering of representatives of the sector”
DAS Otomotiv had the opportunity to meet its domestic and foreign customers
once again thanks to the conference and ended the day with the cocktail they
organized. DAS Otomotiv Chairman of the Board Kerim Başakıncı said these word
about the activity they sponsored: “We are very pleased with the conference, which
was first held in 2012. Participation was much better compared to the previous year.
Participant profiles and their presentations were very impressive. All representatives
of the sector were brought here with participants from Turkey and abroad. This
requires tremendous effort. I applaud everyone who contributed their efforts for
this purpose. Such conferences significantly help to develop safety and security
awareness in the sector. Customers are made more aware by describing them
the innovations in machinery and this contributes greatly to their knowledge.
In addition, authorities from General Directorate of Highways (KGM) also made
presentations. Such organizations have a positive impact on bringing together the
sector and public organizations. I believe that public organizations should align the
preparation of their drafts according to the needs of the sector, which they should
observe first. I hope that such organizations make it possible..”

continue delivering training courses in order
to provide the highest quality of training to
customers. During the training between May 26th
- 28th, Claudio Cimini, Rough terrain mobile crane
instructor from the Bendini factory of Terex in Bologna,
provided training to DAS Otomotiv Spare Parts sales
team on the introduction of spare parts and how to
provide the fastest solution. Claudio Cimini, who has
been working with Terex for 7 years, delivered a 2 day
course and supplied information on how to read part
catalogues, locations of parts on the crane and how to
stock these spare parts.
Siemens training completed
On the other hand, PLC S7 300 training attended by
service technicians Cemil Çetin, Sercan Kösterit and
H. Burak Çıkırkan and delivered by Global Otomasyon
instructor Yaşar Çiftçi was held in the premises of DAS
Otomotiv on September 18-19-20, 2014. With the applied
introduction of Siemens Simatics Manager software, which
is used in Cimolai machinery, a part of the product range
of DAS Otomotiv as Terex RTG port machinery and marine
equipment, it is aimed to increase the effectiveness of the
on site service provided by DAS Otomotiv team.
“We trust each other”
Yelda Kaymakçı was born in İstanbul on 1975.
She has two children children aged 6 and
10. She has been performing her duties as
a Finance Manager in DAS Otomotiv for 10
months. A graduate of Eskişehir Financial and
Management Sciences Faculty, Department
of Business Administration,
Kaymakçı started her job
in DAS Otomotiv after
working in the domestic
collection, credit control
and risk management
units of Turkcell for 12
years. Kaymakçı says: “I am
working as a manager in
the finance department
and as the
financial affairs
team, we are
working hard
to keep the
company
in a good
position by
balancing
the income

and she said that they are working with a
positive energy in the team and she is very
much pleased with her job in DAS Otomotiv.
She said: “We are frequently working with
banks in the finance department and trying
to keep the company at the most profitable
level by tracking collection and payments of
the company.” Kaymakçı described the finance
department as the “vault of the company”
and said: “Any slight mistake on our behalf
could lead to great problems. We are working
meticulously, with full concentration and high
motivation. I also believe that communication
is very important. I could say that as the
financial affairs team, we have a very high level
of communication”.

Kaymakçı said that she always enjoyed the
benefits of starting her career at a young age
and added: “I started working in the finance
department of Turkcell as soon as I graduated
from university and stayed there for many
years. I contributed to the formation of the
collection department of Turkcell, making
financial condition agreements with banks, the
management of the income obtained via the
banking channel and several financial projects of
the company. Since Turkcell was a very dynamic
and fast growing company, this helped me
earn significant experience at a young age. DAS
Otomotiv does business in a completely different
sector and it has its unique dynamics. Some
companies spend huge amounts of money for
training sessions such as teamwork, effective
communication and empathy, but I observe that
DAS Otomotiv develops these naturally. I noted
this aspect of DAS Otomotiv in a new year’s meal
and I was fascinated.
Yelda Kaymakçı said that you can easily speak
your mind in DAS Otomotiv like in European
companies and added that opportunities
are provided for employees to express their
personel concerns in the company, empathy
is at a very high level and there is absolutely
no rivalry among departments. Yelda Kaymakçı
repeated that she was pleased to be working
for DAS Otomotiv and continued: “We trust
each other. This is a very magical word.
Among ourselves, we are naturally doing what
other companies call brainstorming. We are
constantly discussing on how to improve the
business. We love working here. These are the
factors that hooked me up with
DAS Otomotiv.”

AS Otomotiv Aftersales Services Director
Orçun Urcan said that they recently obtained
the Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan
distributorships of Terex and stated that they are working
to become localized in all three countries. Urcan said
that they already had some operations in Azerbaijan and
were planning to put their Azerbaijan service rapidly into
operation, and he said that the construction of the service
building in Kazakhstan is in progress. Urcan said: “Our service
area in Kazakhstan has 1,200 square meter closed and 2,000
square meter open areas. We are aiming to set up completely
localized services in the countries we provide services for.
We want to recruit their service teams from the citizens of
those countries. Our personnel from Turkey will only go there
to deliver training. In addition we will also have our service
area in Turkmenistan”. Urcan reminded that the service teams
that they will set up in the region will differ according to
countries and said that they were planning to set up service

High level training
Urcan said that there are additional training events and they sent
5 of their engineers to Germany in 5 different dates in the first
half of 2014 for All Terrain cranes and crawler cranes and added:
“Even though they are experienced employees, they received
training from all levels starting with the preliminary ones. In
September they will receive a diploma for the highest level of
mastery. So we will have Terex manufacturing level engineers
in our company. We had only 1 such engineer and with this
training this will increase to 4 engineers. In addition, DAS
Otomotiv is the only authorized repairer company in the world
that can perform programming by tinkering with the software
during Rough Terrain training. This means that we are the only

distributorship that can tinker with the electronic parameters
of the machines other than Terex.” Urcan also said that they are
planning to accomplish the Turkish Service and Training Center
project in 2016.
“We are always behind big projects”
DAS Otomotiv Spare Parts Sales and Marketing Manager
Ceyhun Özcangaz said that the factors affecting machinery
sales include product quality, brand, specifications and
performance and also the quality of aftersales services.
Özcangaz said: “As the aftersales services department of DAS
Otomotiv, we are always behind big projects. We provide
rapid spare parts and service support. We are working to
prevent the interruption of customer’s operations. In this
regard, we have maintenance agreements in which we
provide the benefits of original spare parts”. Özcangaz said
they used the original parts recommended by Terex and
Ulaş Ablan
DAS Otomotiv Service Manager
“Our personnel development continues”
Service effectiveness of DAS Otomotiv, a company which provides
service support to 64 countries other than Turkey, is perhaps
the most important aspect that makes them different from
competitors. DAS Otomotiv Service Manager Ulaş Ablan gave
detailed information on the technical service of DAS Otomotiv
and said that their service team included engineers separated
into the three groups of machinery, electronics and mechatronics
as well as qualified technicians. Ulaş Ablan said that even their
technicians obtained information at the level of engineers thanks
to the training programs, and he added that all team members
are experienced , high level and qualified in the English language.
Ulaş Ablan also said that all engineers in the team have seriously
indulged in physical efforts as well as theoretical knowledge
and added: “As the sales and country portfolio of DAS Otomotiv
grew, the need for service also increased and we have developed
our personnel accordingly. One and a half years ago we used
to provide services with 8 people and now we increased our
team to 34 engineers and technicians in 3 countries. Ulaş Ablan
remarked that the technical team regarded their training seriously
and said that more than 100 days of training was given in the
first half of 2014 only. Ulaş Ablan said that they brought expert
instructors from the factory whenever new developments were
introduced for their products or sometimes they went directly to
the factory for that purpose and added: We are scheduling the
factory training events at the end of the year, covering the first 6
months of the next year. We plan and identify the needs of the
personnel accordingly and prepare their annual training program.
After their training, we grade our personnel between level 1 and
level 5 and then evaluate them on which type of assignments
they should be given. After that we plan the second half of the
year. In the sector, introduction and start up training activities
are organized before a new model is introduced. However, since
our service operations keep us very busy, it is kind of difficult for
us to receive training before the brand introduces the product.
Nevertheless, we attended all the training events for the models
that we are selling in 2014. It was swift, because we had planned
them in advance.” Ulaş Ablan emphasized that the applications
for failure they received from customers were usually related to
user mistakes and added that these were usually operated related
problems and this was the most important problem for the crane
sector. Ulaş Ablan said that they were constantly discussing the
operator problem with their customers and suggesting that they
are trained by DAS Otomotiv and added: “We usually deliver the
training, but the problem does not end here”. Training people
only on machinery is not sufficient, they should also be trained
personally”.

added: “As a result, the operational efficiency of machines is
improved and their trade in value is increased with proper
and timely maintenance”.
Özcangaz also mentioned spare part supply processed and
reminded that they are planning to build spare part stock areas
in other countries in addition to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan
and Kazakhstan. Özcangaz talked about the spare parts stock
services they provided to their customers for big projects: “We
help our customers to build spare parts stocks in their own sites.
Spare parts determined by our expert engineers and technicians
can be stored in construction sites in areas reserved for spare
parts or inside containers. Parts that do not exist in stock are
reported to Terex with the Crane Down code in emergencies
and the parts are supplied as fast as possible.” DAS Otomotiv
recently obtained the distributorship of two different brands
(Gosan hook and roller systems, AMCS tower crane anti-collision
systems) and the dealerships of Bridgestone and Lassa tires. They
will provide to their new distributorships the same quality of
aftersales support they provide for other brands. Özcangaz said
that, all the training required to provide this level of support will
be delivered to DAS Otomotiv personnel in autumn and said
that their recently acquired distributorships are directly related
to the machines they are selling and this will have a significant
leverage to support their sales.
Bahadır Cide, who took on the responsibility
of Turkmenistan Country Manager for this new
distributorship region, analyses the region in
which he frequently travels and prepares the
infrastructure of the DAS Otomotiv structure
in the region. Cide said that he visited the
offices of companies in Turkmenistan during
his stay there and said that they actively
started selling while continuing the company,
office and service set up of DAS Otomotiv.
He remarked: “Several near future energy
investments and the Asian Olympics of 2017
will take place in Turkmenistan. Therefore
the country needs a lot of infrastructure and
superstructure efforts. Especially the biggest
companies in the world are trying to extract
natural gas in the Mari region”. Bahadır Cide
remarked that 70 percent of the country is
being built by Turkish companies, Turkish
companies perform significant projects, there
are no companies officially providing service
other than DAS Otomotiv and that this is a
significant advantage for them. Cide said
that in the recent years Turkmenistan was
turning into a machinery junkyard, so the
government enacted a law stipulating that no
machines older than 4 years will be allowed
into the country. He said that this condition is
becoming valid also for big projects and recent
projects in Turkey and project managers refuse
to allow older machinery into construction
sites. Cide said that therefore companies were
encouraged to purchase new machines and
the demand for service significantly increased
after the recent machinery purchases. Cide said
that even though the country is geographically
challenging, its future is bright and mentioned
their personnel structure in Turkmenistan:
“We will combine the Turkmen personnel
we hire and our people here who will go to
Turkmenistan and give them comprehensive
training. İstanbul will always be supporting
Turkmenistan. In addition we will have team
members for machinery sales, marketing and
advertisement. We posted advertisements in
magazines and conducted several billboard
campaigns in the country.” Bahadır Cide
repeated that Turkmenistan is restructuring
and there is construction everywhere in the
country and said that all terrain type low
capacity and cheaper cranes were preferred in
the past. He said that they started selling Terex
Rough Terrain mobile cranes with a capacity
of 30 - 90 tonnes in the country
for 1.5 - 2 years. He mentioned
that since these cranes had
large tires, they were easily
able to perform assignments
on electricity, infrastructure
and power lines at road sides
and they were able to enter
desert terrain. Cide also
said that they will start
supplying 25 and 55
ton truck cranes from
the Chinese factory
of Terex and that they
have already given
orders for 7 units. Cide
said that the machines
will be in Turkmenistan
within October and added: “These are mobile
cranes manufactured with the quality and
guarantee of Terex. Our biggest differentiator
will be our service and warranty. We will stand
behind the machine that we well and we will
always have someone over there from us. We
will provide the DAS Otomotiv quality here just
like we do it in every region we provide sales
and aftersales services.”

DAS solution
partnership continues
Gemont, a company
undertaking the construction
and installation of steel
works, petrochemical and
various industrial plants
since 1991, has been
conducting its operations
in Russia and Iraq for three
years. Muhittin Aktaş,
Vice General Manager of
the company, says that
cranes and manlifts are
essential machinery in
construction sites. Aktaş
says that personal relations
have an impact on their
preference for machinery
and emphasizes that they
have been working with DAS
Otomotiv for many years
G
mont started its operations by taking on construction
and installation tasks for steel works factories and
continued its business for a long while under the name
of Montaj Limited. The founder of the company Sadık Akman
performed a comprehensive restructuring of the company in
1991 and continued his operations with the name of Gemont.
The company mostly did business in the sector of steel works
and completed construction and installation tasks for integrated
factories such as Erdemir, İsdemir, Borçelik, Tezcan, Asilçelik. The
company grew in time and completed even larger projects and
took on the construction and installation of plants such as power
plants, oil refineries, petrochemical, paper, automotive and the like.

Vice General Manager, Gemont
ViZYON 2014 ISSUE : 8
Record breaking installation time
Muhittin Aktaş, Vice General Manager of the company says
that they were the second biggest contractor after Tekfen for
the TÜPRAŞ RUP project and that they completed the project
flawlessly with a team of 2500 people. “Our personnel count
never dropped below 2 thousand until now. We started
contributing to projects in Russia and Iraq in the last 3 years and
we also have some steel construction factories for which we did
manufacturing”. Aktaş predicts that the personnel count will go
over 5 thousand in 2015 thanks to potential projects. Aktaş said
that they have numerous references other than the TÜPRAŞ RUP
project and said: “We constructed one of the biggest and highest
furnaces of Turkey and neighboring countries with a team of 3
thousand people without subcontractors in İskenderun from
2006 to 2011. The furnace can turn the mined ore into liquid iron.
We also completed the İsdemir Hot Rolling Plant owned by Oyak
Group in one and a half year despite many difficulties”.
International efforts
Gemont started its business in Iraq 3 years ago and now they
are involved in the construction and installation projects of steel
works factories during the reconstruction of the region. Aktaş
said that they recently commenced operations in Russia, too
and said: “Russia is a very big market for us. The project we are
working on is being used for the first time. In the project which
was carried out with the license of American company KBR, 95%
of crude oil is being converted into white fuel. There are 15 Oil
Refineries in Russia anticipating the outcome of this project.
The construction of the project, which we started in May, will be
finalized until the end of October. Steel, Equipment and Piping
tasks will be carried out in 2015 and our personnel count will go
up to 3,500 people”. Aktaş says that their successful international
references have a very positive impact on their reputation
abroad and they are experiencing a lot of demand. Aktaş states
that one of the most important reasons for being a sought
after company is that they are not using subcontractors and
performing high quality work. “Our costs can be slightly higher
since we have very few subcontractors, but our quality and
compliance with the work plan makes us a preferred company.
In the end our operations are focused on solutions and we do
not present any hassles for our customers”.
Communication impacts the preference of machinery
The company has more than 80 construction machines in their
machinery fleet. Cranes and manlifts are the most needed
equipment when it comes to plant installations. Aktaş says that
they cooperate with DAS Otomotiv to satisfy such needs and
continues: “The support of DAS is very important for us. Human
relations are more important than the brand of the machine.
Aftersales services come afterwards in priority. DAS works like
the way we do. Which means, they are a completely solution
focused company and they give the priority to their customers.
We want to earn money by having our customers earn
money. DAS has the same understanding. That is why we can
cooperate in such harmony.” Aktaş says that they don’t rent the
machines and perform in several disciplines as a contractor. He
says that RT (Rough Terrain) cranes are very beneficial for them
in construction sites. “When you send RT cranes to a project,
they operate there for at least a year. We are especially pleased
with the RT 45 models. When the facilities rise, it can squeeze
in and easily reach hard to reach places.” says Aktaş and adds
that the machine can operate with ease even though the
construction site is covered in mud. Aktaş reminds that they
also recently purchased RT 75 Long cranes and says that: “We
purchased RT 75 to use it in Russia. Because we have several
pieces of equipment there that needs to be lifted up to 30
meters. The tonnage of RT 45 decreases when it reaches 30
meters. Therefore we fulfilled our needs by purchasing the RT
75s.”
Safe Operating Environment
Aktaş says that there have been radical changes in work
safety in Turkey in the last 5 years and manlifts have gained
a prominent position in that period. He says that they
can easily and safely reach very hard to reach places in
construction sites since they have joints. Aktaş reminds that
personnel elevators are essential for the construction site
since they are safe machines after all and says: “Previously
baskets were fitted to cranes and it was very dangerous.
However, personnel elevators are both safe and much more
practical”. Aktaş says they prefer the Genie brand in personnel
elevators and reminds that they significantly benefited
from the generators on Genie Z135 elevators they recently
purchased, and adds: “Safety is the foremost issue for us.
Genie is a very successful brand in matters of safety and
we have safely and comfortably been able to reach difficult
places without any problems until now.””

Sarp Group rises with Terex
Sarp Group, having completed several prestigious projects nationwide, is using Terex tower cranes in its project
and is taking advantage of the high quality aftersales services of DAS Otomotiv. We interviewed Sarp Group
Purchasing Specialist Uğur Gelgen about completed projects and Terex tower cranes
Ali Spatar
DAS Azerbaijan Country Manager
Can you tell us about the aftersales services that you
provide in Azerbaijan?
DAS Azerbaijan service team, consisting of electrical,
hydraulic and mechanical engineers and technicians,
immediately intervene in the case of faults on the
machines. With the frequent flights between İstanbul and
Bakü, we can immediately receive support from factory
trained DAS Otomotiv Turkey service team. After the sales,
we keep parts in stock and long periods of unavailability
due to lack of parts is prevented for machinery. Used parts
are reported to the factory during this process and our
stocks are replaced as soon as possible.
Can you tell us a bit about İLK İnşaat?
İLK İnşaat Taah. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. operates in 6 countries
(Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Malaysia and
United Arab Emirates) in various fields such as land, sea, oil
and gas plants, residences, factories, highways, bridges, land
development and port premises. The company has a project
portfolio of more than 1.5 billion USD and has a wide range
of machinery and equipment which has a total value of 45
million USD including earth, concrete, lifting and heavy lifting
machinery and equipment. İLK İnşaat now employs 6,245
people and its leading prestigious project is the Magtymguly
Drilling and Collector Riser Platform which is 71 km away from
the land in the Caspian Sea.
Can you tell us about the Bakü project of İLK İnşaat?
In addition to the petroleum and gas sectors, İLK İnşaat is
working on tall business center, residence, hospital and
educational building projects with a turnkey contractorship
approach. The Port Bakü Residence Project is the largest
residential and shopping center project of the company
with 27,500 m2 residential area and 375,000 m2 closed
space, 3 story closed underground parking lot, 3 story
shopping center and 32 stories of luxury residences
totaling 38 stories, Some of the other ongoing projects in
Azerbaijan are; Shahdag Hotels, Azersu General Directorate
Building, Crescent Development Project and the Congress
Center. The biggest differentiator of the Congress Center
project from others is the tight deadline of the project and
being the first project of İLK İnşaat in Azerbaijan in which it
is the main contractor
Can you tell us about the latest deliveries you made with
İLK İnşaat?
All telehandler and aerial work platforms to be rented for
the Congress Center Project of İlk İnşaat will be supplied by
DAS Otomotiv. All platforms, which we started supplying
ViZYON 2014 ISSUE : 8
to the project, are made in 2014 and new-unused units
according to the basis of the project. All platforms were
delivered as of September.
How many platforms were delivered and what were their
specifications?
Operating heights of the platforms to be supplied as scissors,
telescopic and folding boom types range between 12
m and 43 m. In addition to platforms, they started using
2 telehandlers with 4-5 ton capacity. These equipments,
used mainly for facades and
steel installations, are also used
in electrical and mechanical
installations.
Why did İLK İnşaat prefer to work
with DAS Otomotiv?
Since the platform market is
only recently growing in the
region, it is not possible to rent
these machines from a company
due to required quantity and
specifications for now. As DAS
Otomotiv we were able to supply
all the equipment. In addition,
any faults that may arise in the
machines must be rectified as
soon as possible due to the tight
deadline of the project. The factory
trained DAS Otomotiv service team
has the capability to immediately
step up and rectify faults. They
constantly have service personnel
on site. The DAS Otomotiv
container contains any spare parts
that might be necessary.
Do you provide support for personnel training?
Factory engineers and factory trained DAS Otomotiv
service team provide the operators or service teams
determined both locally and by the customer about
operation and service maintenance..
Would you like to add some final words?
We are aiming to have a prominent position in the market
in aerial work platform rentals. We are one of the top three
companies in this aspect with 39 machines of various
heights..
U

tower cranes. Uğur Gelgen reminded that they used the
Terex tower cranes they purchased from DAS Otomotiv
in superstructure residential construction projects
and said that they mostly lifted heavy materials such
as tunnel mold systems, platforms and reinforcement
bars. Uğur Gelgen emphasized that their residential
projects were mostly tall buildings and he said that the
residential block of the Sarphan
Finanspark Project had 56 stories
and they used CTT 181 B-8 TS21
tower cranes in its construction.
Uğur Gelgen evaluated their
preference towards Terex and
DAS Otomotiv and said that:
“Our preference was influenced
by the high quality service and
business follow-up practices of
DAS Otomotiv and the distributor
strength of the Terex group in
Turkey. In addition, the reliability
and product quality provided by
the Terex brand is one of our main
reasons of preference.”

their cooperation with DAS Otomotiv for all service and

they were pleased about the fact that DAS Otomotiv
had disciplined personnel who were good at their jobs
and he continued: “In our country, which has a great
share of the construction market in the world, especially
in the Middle East, construction machinery and their
spare parts and services are very important. As the
number of high quality projects in the construction
sector increases, the need to cooperate with high
quality brands with good research and development
efforts has become necessary. The Terex brand is a
company that does business with the awareness of their
brand and can serve customers like us, and they are one
of the most preferable companies.”

Record breaking order from ASYAPORT:
ASYAPORT RTGs are ready to ship
DAS Otomotiv will be present during the whole
process
After all 24 Terex RTGs are delivered to ASYAPORT
on May 2015, the largest single RTG delivery in
Turkey will have been performed. During the
process, all ship unloading, installation and delivery
operations of 24 Terex RTGs will be performed
by DAS Otomotiv. The sea voyage of the 6 Terex
RTGs to be loaded on the ships as part of the
first delivery is estimated to take approximately
1 month and the delivery of the RTG cranes to
ASYAPORT Tekirdağ Port as well as the unloading from ship, leg-shifting and commissioning operations will be
performed by the DAS Otomotiv team. In addition, after all deliveries are completed, technical and operator
training will be provided.
45 ton capacity
Terex RTG cranes, which will serve for stacking containers in Asyaport site, have 6+1 height and 7+1 lateral
distance container storage capability and also a lifting capacity of 45 tonnes. Terex RTGs lower the operation
and maintenance costs of companies besides being environment friendly since they are completely operated
by electricity, and they are essential machinery for port sites. The main reason for ASYAPORT’s preference in
Terex RTG is the quality and strong and professional aftersales services of DAS Otomotiv.

Project. Terex CC6800 owned by Sarılar was used in this very important lifting project organized by Çaba
other” says Kemal Kunt and adds: “Thank to our
mutual trust and coordinated work, we have
proudly completed installation of 130t Dryer, 230t
Absorption tower and the last part, the dome roof
weighing 275 tonnes.”
The dome roof 275t, whose installation was
completed, is a medium sized part with a diameter
of 40 meters and an installation height of 32 meters.
It is not heavy compared to other roofs, but its
diameter necessitated the use of a 1250t capacity
crane. Kunt said that they planned the heavylift
operations according to the 1250t capacity crane
since their customer increased the weight of the
part to 275 tonnes and said: “We obtained crane
support from Sarılar, which is the 4th in Europe and
our pride”. Kunt also said that they were constantly
communicating with MTG and UHDE during the
course of the project and said: “Two important
points that we have most sensitively evaluated were
the planning of the lifting points to be determined
on the dome roof in such a way to minimize the
undesired twisting and bending of the part, and
reducing the loads, which may push on the ground
in poor condition, to levels applicable for the huge
crane”. Kunt said that the project was successfully
completed after all preparations and finished his
speech as follows: “ÇABA conducts a detailed
operation with its experience and engineering
approaches in order to soundly carry out the job.
We relieve the customer of his concerns with a
scientific approach and plan the operation with
the most appropriate and economical method. We
would like to thank MTG and Sarılar for entrusting
us with the performance of this job”.
