Providing and sustaining safer and healthier workplaces are among the common goals for all countries. This issue had been discussed as part of the employment agenda at the Turkish G20 Presidency in 2015. This common goal will be achieved through cooperation between the countries as well as exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices. To this end, the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security has been organizing an international conference on OSH every two years since 2001 and “8th International Conference on Occupational Health and Safety” will be held in İstanbul on May 8-11, 2016 with the participation of the academicians and experts leading in their fields, representatives of relevant international organizations, universities, trade associations and non-governmental organizations from all over the World. The Scientific Advisory Board has determined the motto of this Conference as “Sustainable Occupational Health and Safety”. Various aspects of occupational health and safety will be discussed extensively with 36 main topic under “Sustainable Occupational Health and Safety” motto. Participants will also have opportunity to meet the innovations in the field of occupational health and safety in the Turkish Occupational Safety and Health Exhibition (T+OSH Expo) held concurrently with the Conference. The Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Republic of Turkey is proud to be your host for this major organization in 2016.
