Our delivery rates are very competitive and we offer free collection of suitable cakes from the Peggy Porschen Parlour in London’s Belgravia. ➾ Should you wish to order a Peggy Porschen design, we offer a private tasting and consultation appointment for you and your fiancé at the Peggy Porschen Parlour in Belgravia, London. This service is complementary and will give you an opportunity to sample Peggy’s delicious flavours, view the beautiful cakes on display and browse her portfolio. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your thoughts and ideas with your specialist cake consultant who can advise you and guide you in your design decision. Your specialist consultant will then act as your point of contact throughout the planning process, liaising with your florist and venue prior to your wedding day to ensure that all details are taken care of in terms of delivery, service and presentation of your wedding cake. All cakes in our Iced Collection are covered with marzipan and sugar paste. Whilst we appreciate that some customers would prefer a cake covered with sugar paste only due to personal taste or allergy reasons, it is vitally important to achieve a perfectly shaped cake, to safely construct it and to preserve its freshness. We therefore strongly recommend using marzipan for all of our wedding cakes and ordering a small cutting cake without marzipan in addition to the main cake to cater for those who are not able to eat it. Choosing your wedding cake Tasting & Consultation If you are considering commissioning Peggy as your cake-maker, please contact us to arrange a wedding cake tasting & consultation at our Bespoke Boutique in Belgravia, London where you will have the opportunity to sample our delicious flavours, view the beautiful cakes on display and browse Peggy’s portfolio of latest designs. To help us guide you to find a design that is perfect for your wedding, please bring along anything that might inspire your cake such as a piece of material from your gown, a picture of your flowers and colour swatches. how will you serve the cake? Before choosing your design it is important to consider how the cake will be served. If you wish to serve the cake as dessert you should consider how the flavour will complement the main menu. to provide and whether you intend to serve party portions or full dessert slices. If you only have a small number of guests but would like a large cake to display, we can include dummy tiers. Likewise, should you require additional servings to the main cake we can provide additional cutting cakes. Prices are available on request; please contact us for a quotation. where will your cake be displayed? Your Peggy Porschen wedding cake should act as a centrepiece so it is important to give some thought to how and where it will be presented at your venue. Traditionally the wedding cake is presented on a stand, it is important to ensure that it is a stand of appropriate size, placed on a table with a crease-free, clean table cloth and that the table is positioned on stable ground. cake stand hire how many guests will the cake need to serve? It is important to consider how many portions your cake needs We offer a variety of cake stands for hire or purchase suited to our Iced Wedding Cakes. Please note that cake stand hire is only available if ordered with a cake. Hired cake stands need to be returned within 3 working days of your event. Alternatively we can pre-arrange collection from your venue for an additional charge. Silver Cake Stand: £150 hire charge + £300 deposit Polystyrene Base (for fresh flowers): from £15. Round White Ceramic Pedestal Cake Plate (available for purchase only): 8” - £25 12” - £35 14” - £40 will you use fresh flowers to present your cake? If you intend to decorate the cake with fresh flowers, we recommend that these are provided by your florist to ensure that your cake decoration perfectly coordinates with your reception flowers and bouquet. Our cake prices do not include fresh flowers; however, as part of our service we will liaise with your florist prior to your wedding and discuss the floral requirements and set up arrangements for your wedding day. Commissioning a bespoke Peggy Porschen design Peggy relishes a creative challenge and should you wish to commission something entirely unique for your wedding, you can book a one-on-one consultation after which Peggy will prepare design sketches and samples with a full quotation for your approval. The starting price for a bespoke Peggy Porschen design is £2500. When to order your cake We will do our utmost to accommodate all orders, however, to allow us sufficient time to create and process your Iced Wedding Cake we recommend giving 3 to 6 months lead time on your order. Bookings are taken on a firstcome, first-served basis and we reserve the right to decline. For weddings from May to September we recommend booking your cake as early as possible, alternatively you can reserve your date with a £300 non-refundable holding deposit and decide on your design at a later date. Payment A 25% non-refundable deposit is required on order confirmation and must be cleared before any work is carried out. The final balance is payable 6 weeks before completion. For orders with less than 6 weeks’ notice the full payment is required on confirmation and is nonrefundable. Our preferred way of payment is bank transfer; however we also accept payment by cash, credit card, or cheque. Alterations Where possible we will accommodate any changes you wish to make to your order at our discretion and charge you for the additional costs accrued. Delivery and collection delivery As part of our service we offer delivery and set-up within central London, however, as we can only carry out a limited number of personal deliveries each day, advance booking is highly recommended during the wedding season. We will liaise with your venue to schedule a delivery slot and to check that all arrangements for assembly such as the cake stand and cake table have been taken care of. Our delivery service is available within the following postcodes: W1, SW1, SW2, SW3, SW8, SE1, WC1, WC2, EC1, EC4, EC2, SE1, SE11 Delivery will be charged at a flat fee of £60. For deliveries outside of central London we can recommend a specialist courier service and price will be available for this upon quotation. As wedding cakes require longer lead-times we ask that changes are made no less than 6 weeks prior to completion. Please note that any changes you wish to make to your order must be confirmed in writing or by email. Cancellations For cancellations with more than 6 weeks’ notice before completion, the deposit payment is non-refundable and any specially ordered items and work already undertaken in accordance with your order is chargeable in addition. For cancellations with less than 6 weeks’ notice before the completion date, the full balance is payable. Collection Should you wish to collect your cake from the Peggy Porschen Parlour, we will provide you with full transport, assembly and storage instructions where required. Please note that once collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake is with the client and Peggy Porschen Cakes Ltd is not liable for any damages thereafter. Terms & conditions design & customisation payment & deposit Each cake has its own unique customisations options, the customer can only choose from the options given. Customisation of your chosen design may affect the prices advertised. Prices are available on request; please contact us for a quotation and availability. Should you wish to choose an alternative; a Peggy Porschen Bespoke Design can be commissioned. Customers will receive written quotes with a clear breakdown of which costs apply to what aspects of the cake. A deposit of 25% of the total bill is required in order to confirm your order. Deposits are non-refundable. The final balance must be paid 6 weeks prior to completion although payment can be made earlier if you wish. Where the order is placed within 6 weeks of completion, then payment will be due in full on placing the order. Failure to complete payment by 6 weeks prior to order completion may result in your cake order being cancelled. We may charge interest on overdue invoices from the date when payment becomes due until the date payment is received at a rate of four per cent per annum above the base rate of the Bank of England. Should your cheque be dishonoured and returned unpaid by the bank, then we shall be entitled to charge a fee of £25 per dishonoured cheque in addition to interest. If you hire a cake stand, we charge a deposit of £300, which will be refunded on return of the undamaged cake stand, or withheld to cover any damage to the cake stand. We will add the Allergies & Special Dietary Requirements Peggy Porschen Wedding Cakes contain butter, gluten (wheat) and eggs and are made in an environment that handles nuts, soya and alcohol. Nut-free and alcohol-free cakes can be made on request but we cannot guarantee that these cakes will not contain trace amounts of these ingredients due to the nature of production. Peggy Porschen Cakes Ltd accepts no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes. It is the customer’s responsibility to make Peggy Porschen Cakes Ltd aware of any special dietary requirements that need to be accommodated in the making of their cake. cake stand hire charge to your invoice, but if the cake stand is returned later than agreed we will charge the additional daily rate, by deducting it from your deposit. cancellation & alterations If you have any queries or need to make any changes to an order please contact us immediately. We will assess your request for an alteration and let you know its effect on the price and any agreed timetable. Alterations requested less than 21 days before completion will automatically be subject to a surcharge. We cannot refund the cost of any cake orders cancelled with less than 6 week’s notice. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible, and discuss the matter with you and try to agree a suitable alternative. If you are not willing to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full price to you. delivery Delivery is available within the following postcodes W1, SW1, SW2, SW3, SW8, SE1, WC1, WC,2, EC1, EC4, EC2, SE1, SE11 and a flat fee of £60 will be charged. Collection Customers may choose to collect their cake from the Peggy Porschen Parlour in London’s Belgravia. Peggy Porschen Cakes Ltd will provide the customer with full transport, assembly and storage instructions. Cakes collected from the Peggy Porschen Parlour must be checked by the customer, who must sign to say that the cake has been collected in perfect condition. Please note – wedding cakes can be very heavy and large and the components may come in several boxes. They may not be suitable for transporting via public transport. We would recommend using an air conditioned vehicle to ensure that temperatures remain below 23 Degrees Celsius. damages In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, it is the customer’s responsibility to report the damage to us within 48 hours and send photographic evidence of the damage within 7 working days if you wish to claim a refund or replacement. Peggy Porschen accepts no liability for cakes that are damaged after they have been delivered to the agreed location. For cakes delivered to venues, Peggy Porschen Cakes Ltd requires a signed delivery note by the person in charge to say that the cake has arrived and that it arrived in perfect condition. Cakes collected from the Peggy Porschen Parlour must be checked by the customer, who must sign to say that the cake has been collected in perfect condition. Damages after this point are not Peggy Porschen Cakes Ltd’s responsibility. All Peggy Porschen wedding cakes are fragile and require care and attention when handling, storing and displaying. Please pay careful attention to our transportation and storage instructions that will be provided with the cake.
