Ink edges of chipboard square with Gingerbread inkpad. Adhere square of decorative paper to chipboard. Sand edges. Thread floss through button, tying a knot to secure. Curl floss by wrapping it around the end of the stylus. Adhere button to flower with glue dot. Adhere flower to covered chipboard with your adhesive. Adhere decorated chipboard panel to front of pocket, set pocket aside. Directions for notepad: 1. Adhere strip of decorative paper to one of the pieces of cardstock. Score at the bottom of the strip (to allow the notebook to open easily). Take prong fastener apart. Use flat piece for template, tracing holes on front cover w/pencil. Assemble the notebook (with the pages inside). Punch 2 holes using the larger hole on the crop-a-dile. Stamp ‘notes’ onto front of notebook w/burnt umber inkpad. A special thanks to Sandy Allen who collaborated with me on this project. Birthday Tea-Project A2 Supplies: 1 piece of patterned cardstock 4 ¼” x 10 ½” 2 pieces cardstock 2 ½” x 3” 1 piece of white cardstock w/poem on it 1 piece of white cardstock 1 ¾” x 2 ¼” Family-Size Teabag Big Bite Crop-a-dile Stamps/Acrylic Mounts Edge Distressor (or pair of scissors) Scor-Pal Adhesive Inkpad Ribbon-19” long Directions: Placing long side of patterned cardstock across the top of the Scor-Pal, score at 3 ½” and 7”. Turn cardstock and score at ½” down the length of the cardstock. Do not fold on scored lines yet. Cut away (see template) the parts marked with an ‘x’. Save the scraps as you will be using it later for decoration. Trim approximately 1/16” off the far right edge. This will allow the book to close with ease, once the teabag is placed in the ‘pocket’. NOW you can fold on all the score lines. Fold the ‘flap’ up, put adhesive on the decorative side of the flap. Fold over to form pocket. Close and punch hole with Big Bite through both layers just a tad in from the edge. Open and punch another hole just a bit to the right of the center (see photo). Insert ribbon and then teabag. Stamp coffee cup and words on white cardstock. Distress and ink edges, then adhere to front of card. Adhere strip of scrap cardstock to top and bottom of inside left panel (see photo above). Distress and ink edges of poem, adhere to remaining piece of cardstock. Adhere panel and you’re done!!! Template . . . PVC Napkin Rings-Project A3 Supplies: Two 1” pieces of PVC pipe (1 ½” pipe) 2 strips of patterned cardstock (1” x 6”) Scrap of white cardstock Lamination film Velcro Adhesive Sanding Block Stamp/Acrylic Mount Prismacolor Pencils Bone folder Mini Kai scissors Inkpads (Noir Black plus inkpad to coordinate w/patterned cardstock) Directions: Adhere the strips of patterned cardstock to PVC pipe, lining up one of the edges. Use your fingers to burnish. Trim off excess paper from other edge, sand paper edges and then ink edges, if desired. Stamp images on white cardstock with black inkpad. Color images. Laminate (placing one piece of film on top of images and one piece on the bottom). Burnish with bone folder. Cut around images with mini Kai scissors leaving a tiny border of white. Place ‘soft’ side of Velcro piece onto PVC napkin rings in the gap where the paper doesn’t quite meet. Center the remaining piece of Velcro on the back of your laminated images and you’re ready to slip in napkins and set the table! Note 1: the PVC pipe was very inexpensive…60 cents for 1 foot. My DH cut it into 1” pieces with a chop saw using masonry (metal) blade. Note 2: Using Velcro lets you to use the same PVC bases but you’re able to ‘change them up’ to coincide with different seasons, holidays and events. For a graduation party, how cute would it be to have a basket of these out on your buffet table…with the grads photo (in cap & gown) velcroed onto the napkin ring? Layer the photo onto a scalloped circle or oval. You could cover the pipe with the school colors. These would be a fun ‘party favor’ for guests. The Angel Company™ Preparing PVC pipe for Project A-3 The PVC pipe sells for around 60 cents per foot so this makes your end project very affordable to do at a Stamp Camp or any other TAC event. Buy 1 ½” pipe and cut it into 1” pieces with a chop saw using a masonry (metal) blade. Once the pipe is cut into 1” pieces you will want to sand the edges of each piece. There isn’t a whole lot of sanding to do on each one but I found that a sanding block and/or a nail file sander gets destroyed pretty quick. I used a metal file (not the fingernail file type), my DH says it’s called a Flat Metal File. There’s a tiny bit of grease inside the pipe so you will want to use either a paper towel with de-solv-it (from Wal-Mart) or a product like Goo Gone to remove it. Finish up by washing them in hot soapy water. Knock Knock Joke Book-Project A4 Supplies: 2 coasters (4”x4”) 2 pieces patterned cardstock (4”x4”) Scrap of patterned cardstock White Cardstock (2” x 2 ¾”) Adhesive Sanding Block Round-It-All Corner Rounder Inkpad Heat Tool 6 sheets white cardstock Knock Knock Joke file (on CD) ¾” binding wire Bind-It-All Mini Kai scissors Pencil ABC Frameworks (letter ‘k’) Alphabet (Mini-Bet) Stamp Set Ribbon Directions: Adhere patterned cardstock to coasters. Cut both coasters down to 3 ¾” x 3 ¾”. Sand edges and then corner round only 2 of the corners, leaving 2 alone. Ink edges and LIGHTLY ink the plain side of coaster. Heat to dry. Print off jokes, back to back on white cardstock. Cut into 3 ½” x 3 ½” pages. When punching holes in covers, make sure you don’t punch holes on the side that’s corner rounded. Punch holes in joke pages. Insert wire and bind book with the Bind-It-All. Trace ‘k’ on back side of patterned paper scrap. Cut out and adhere to white cardstock. Round 2 corners (see sample) of white cardstock and edge with inkpad. Stamp letters ‘nock’ twice and outline ‘k’ with pencil to make it pop.
