Light and Air: The Photography of Bayard Wooten June 7 - August 27, 2010 Lincoln Cultural Center - 403 E. Main St., Lincolnton, NC Hosted by the Lincoln County Historical Association and the Lincoln County Museum of History Bayard Wootten, arguably North Carolina’s most important photographer of the first half of the 20th Century, embarked on her photographic career in New Bern in 1904. From June 7th to August 27th, 2010, the LCHA and Lincoln County Museum of History is honored to offer an exhibit of her work in the Cochrane and Carolina Mills Galleries at the Lincoln Cultural Center. Please join us to celebrate her great work. You are invited to our opening reception on Friday, June 11th at 6:30 p.m.. Stephen Fletcher, Photographic Archivist, UNCChapel Hill, will be offering an expert insight to her work, and books about Bayard Wootten by Jerry Cotton will be available for sale.
