Building Access
Highway
This Facility is located on Motz avenue. This building
is 1.2 miles from Highway 321. US 321 is a 4-lane
divided highway built to interstate standards. From
the US 321 interchange, it is 13.88 miles to I-85 and
20 miles to I-40.
Air
The facility is 33.92 miles from the Charlotte Douglas
International Airport. Less than 8 miles is the
Lincolnton-Lincoln County Regional Airport, which
serves as a reliever airport for Charlotte Douglas.
The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Regional Airport has
a 5,500 foot lighted runway with 500-foot of overrun.
Fire Protection
The City of Lincolnton FD is with 3 to 5 minutes. It’s located within minutes of the building.
Telecommunications
AT&T has the ability to construct a SMART ring. This
completely private, fully redundant SONET ring will provide route diversity up to and into their building. Backed
by a service level agreement, these rings are engineered to have 99.999% reliability against a single catastrophic cut. Bandwidths for these rings begin at the
OC-3 level and can be scaled to 0C-192+ for even the
most demanding bandwidth users.
Incentives
Two separate layers of incentive packages are
available.
State Incentives
Discretionary Incentive Programs — In North Carolina, several financial incentive programs are classified
as discretionary in nature.
Job Development Investment Grant – Awards a
limited number of cash grants directly to new and
expanding businesses that will provide economic
benefits to the State, and need the grant to carry
out the project in North Carolina.
One North Carolina Fund – Awards grants for job creation and/or retention in conjunction with local government matches.
SBIR/STTR Small Business Technology Funding –
Awards matching funds to firms who have been awarded a SBIR/STTR Phase I award from the federal
government.
Local Incentives
Lincoln County has a grant program that increases with
local investment. It is utilized on a case by case basis
with an annual grant paid over five years.
Lincoln County seeks to keep the cost of government low
while offering a very competitive local incentive program
including incentives for LEED certified facilities.
The County desires to encourage construction within Lincoln County with buildings that contain more,
• Environmentally-friendly
• Energy Efficient Components
as measured by the USGBC LEED certification system.
Lincoln County understands that such construction can
incur additional costs. The County has created a credit
incentive by which an owner who constructs a building
when applied for would receive significant credits to help
offset some of the costs of building a LEED-Certified
Building.
Training assistance through the new and expanding industry program provided through the NC Community College System of Gaston College’s Main Campus and Lincoln Campus. Assistance with recruitment, evaluation
and selection of employees through the NCDOC Division
of Employment Security.
