MEXICAN SHELLSTONE is a unique, moderately dense limestone from the Yucatan Peninsula. It#s an o$%white
stone that is laden with seashells. Even though this limestone appears to be o$%white, in the sun light
it appears bright white, a phenomenon that gives the city in which it is quarried, the name of &The White
City'. Many of the ruins seen by tourists in Mexico today are made from this stone that has lasted the test
of time. Today you can bring a bit of Mayan history to your special home project.
MEXICAN SHELLSTONE is suitable for interior and exterior installations, walls or (oors, vertical commercial,
and it can be used on both walls and (oors in residential installations. Special installation procedures
should be taken when installing MEXICAN SHELLSTONE in an exterior application in a freeze thaw
climate. Finishes available are Rustic !honed and un)lled, an open texture with occasional open sea
shells", Honed !Honed and )lled, preferred for interior installations", and Antiqued !a brushed )nish
