A WHITE AND TRANSLUCENT DECOR PALETTE INSPIRED BY A FAMILY GLASS BUSINESS. TIMING IS EVERYTHING Christina Narvaez and Claudio Fusco irst met in high school but didn’t start dating until years later after reuniting at a friend’s party. After four years of dating, (and on his birthday!), Claudio proposed to Christina. Malvina Chevolleau of Fabulous Occasions provided full-service planning for the wedding which took place on July 6, 2013. CHRISTINA and CLAUDIO CRYSTAL CLEAR Deborah Lau-Yu of PALETTERA Custom Correspondences created the wedding stationery. A lucite, boxed invitation suite was designed with clean lines to mimic glass (a nod to the bride’s family-owned glass manufacturing company). he design also included details inspired by the pattern on Christina’s wedding gown and her Tacori engagement ring. heir circular monogram design was featured throughout the wedding. STYLE NOTES Christina wore a strapless, tulle ball gown by Kenneth Pool from Pearl Bridal House which she paired with a sparkly statement necklace and crystal earrings from Tara Fava Jewellery. Hair and makeup services were provided by Nicole Richards & Co. PRETTY BOUQUETS Daniela Perri and her team from D&D Floral Designs Inc. created all of the loral designs including the bride’s oversized bouquet made of all-white phalaenopsis orchids. Christina’s bridesmaids carried bouquets made of roses in pretty shades of white, purple and pink. TRADITIONAL CEREMONY A traditional Catholic ceremony took place at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in hornhill, Ontario with a harpist from Hartshorn-Walton Music providing musical accompaniment throughout. he bridesmaids wore strapless Monique Lhuillier gowns in blush pink from Pearl Bridal House. Claudio wore a bespoke tuxedo by master tailor Nello Sansone of Harry Rosen and Prada shoes from Holt Renfrew. Cocktail hour was hosted outside on the lawns of the club where a jazz trio from Hartshorn-Walton Music serenaded guests. he Richmond Hill Country Club served a collection of tasty hors d’oeuvres along with the couple’s blush-hued signature drink. Guests also enjoyed various lavours of alcoholic and nonalcoholic snow cones provided by Sweet Ice Snow Cones. Inside, Susan Murray of Susan Murray International worked in conjunction with D&D Floral Designs Inc. to create a dreamy, airy atmosphere. Susan Murray and her team draped the walls in white and shimmery silver fabric, and provided all of the couture linen for the event. Tables were covered with crystal overlays to echo the design of Christina’s gown. Table numbers were displayed on clear, lucite slabs—another homage to her family’s glass business. Guest tables were decorated with two types of low, loral centrepieces that were placed along the edge of tables and in silver julep cups. he individual guest place settings featured alternating wedding favors; either mini bottles of Patrón or cookies with sugar orchids from White Cakery Co. Crystal Chiavari chairs decorated with cascading orchids and tufted pillows were placed at the head table. A white dance loor printed and installed by Dance Floor Décor featuring the couple’s monogram added to the glamorous feel of the space. SWEET FINALE White Cakery Co. created the couple’s three-tier wedding cake. he cake was covered with sugar pearls and sugar orchids. “he use of orchids integrated with the loral decor and balanced the pearl texture perfectly,” says Christina. A samba show from Bongo & B Entertainment kicked-of the evening festivities, and a DJ from Impact Entertainment had the dance loor packed all night long. “It was a luxurious day from start to inish,” recalls Christina. he couple followed their dream wedding with a three-week honeymoon in Paris and Italy.
