Alfred Hager, Chef des gleichnamigen Planungsbüros in Kitzbühel, hat eine ernüchternde Theorie: „Heute sagt jeder, kahle weiße Wände sind schön. Daran sind nicht die Designer schuld, das liegt an den Preisen.“ Man erkläre eben das zum Ideal, was man sich gerade noch leisten könne. Wenn das stimmt, hat sich ausnahmsweise Otto Normalverbrau- 1130 Wien cher als Trendsetter durchgesetzt. Und jene, bei denen Geld keine Rolle spielt, folgen brav. Minimalismus sei auch in der Oberliga „in“, bestätigt Hager. Metall, Glas, Holz, spartanisch und schlicht. Die Unterschiede: „Man nimmt Massivholz, keine Spanplatten. Und wenn schon Fliesen, dann aus Marmor oder Granit.“ Außerdem sei wirklich schönes Design immer teuer – auch im modernen Stil. Karlheinz Sandler, Geschäftsführer der Raiffeisen Leasing Immobilienmanagement GmbH – die gerade einen Luxus-Dachgeschoßaufbau am Wiener Kohlmarkt vermarktet – beschreibt die Wünsche seiner Kunden ähnlich: „Dunkle Parkettböden oder helle Steinböden, gemalte weiße Wände mit Farbakzenten.“ Hang zum Lokalkolorit Und raumhohe Türen, viel Glas, großformatig verflieste Bäder. Gefragt seien edle Materialien, Design gehe vor Funktionalität. In Orten wie Kitzbühel kommt ein Aspekt dazu, mit dem sich Wiener Designer kaum herumschlagen müssen – der Hang zum Lokalkolorit. „Eine Zeitlang hat man sich überall im italienischen Stil eingerichtet“, erzählt Hager. „Heute will man auf Mallorca mediterran wohnen und in den Alpen alpenländisch.“ Abwechselnd, jeweils für ein paar Wochen oder Monate im Jahr. Format Minimum size is DIN A6 (105 mm x 150 mm). Maximum size corresponds to the ongoing specifications of the publisher (“Die Presse”: 225 mm x 300 mm). 2. Single Sheets Single sheets in format DIN A6 may not weigh less 170 g/m2. Single sheets with a format larger than DIN A6 to DIN A4 must have a coating weight of at least 120 g/m2. Larger formats with a paper weight of at least 60 g/m2 will be folded to a size in the range of DIN A4 (210 mm x 297mm). 10. 3. Multi-page Inserts Inserts in the largest format possible in each case must contain at least 8 pages. Smaller inserts (four to six pages) require a paper weight of at least 120 g/m2, or these inserts will have to be folded again. 4. Weight The weight of an insert should not exceed 40g/unit. If it exceeds this weight, a further inquiry with the applicable print shop is required. 5. Payment Forms (with perforation) Payment forms in Format DIN A4 have to be folded into Format DIN A5. Delivery Conditions The delivered inserts must guarantee immediate, problem-free processing, without requiring any additional manual preparation. Inserts that arrive damp, with the ink still tacky or with strong static cling cannot be processed. Similarly, inserts with bent or “dog-eared” corners, creases, wrinkled folds or squeezed spines can also not be processed. Extra charges apply for inserts delivered in cartons or for strapped inserts. 11. Unit size For ease of handling, the inserts should arrive in untangled, aligned unit layers with a height of 80 to 100 mm. 12. Inserts Quantity The quantity of inserts ordered, including a 3 % pulling reserve has to be delivered. 13. Palletisation Inserts must be stacked on clean and stable pallets. Inserts should be protected against possible delivery damages (mechanical load) and the infiltration of dampness. Analogously to the delivery invoice, each pallet has to be clearly marked with a packaging slip. The contractor is responsible for the content of every advertisement and guarantees that the advertisement does not infringe the law or third party rights. The contractor will indemnify the publisher from all claims resulting from the contents of the advertisement. The publisher has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising contract without specifying the reasons. 2. The publisher takes no responsibility for the correctness of the booking of ads or changes to the booking made by telephone. 3. Printing errors that do not appreciably affect the sense of the ad will not constitute a claim for compensation against the publisher. The publisher is only responsible for acts in gross negligence or intention. Further liability, particularly loss of profit, loss of interest, indirect or direct consequential damages, third party damages, etc. are explicitly excluded. The responsibility is limited in any case by the amount of the concerning assignment. 4. Any compositional errors or other defects in the manuscripts, films or production-ready materials, brochure inserts and ads specials provided by the contractor are in the sole responsibility of said contractor. 5. Proof sheets will be provided only on request and compensated at cost. Copies not returned within the time limit will be taken as approved for printing. Costs for substantial changes to things originally agreed upon, and for the delivery of the printed copies, plus any film or graphic materials are the responsibility of the contractor. 6. Requests for positioning will be honoured to the extent possible; however, the publisher has no obligation to do so. 7. Advertisements whose editorial configuration makes them unrecognisable as advertisements will be so labelled by the printer, according to Article 26 of the Austrian Media Law. 8. The Printer takes no responsibility for any damages arising from the failure of an ad to appear on a certain day or through a printing or similar error. 9. A withdrawal of a booked and confirmed ad without cost is only possible up to the official ad closing time. 10. The publisher is not responsible for non-delivery occurring for reasons beyond his control (as a result of strikes, confiscation, shipping accident, damage to machinery etc.). 12. The publisher will confirm any contract on request. Verbal contracts that are not confirmed in writing are not binding for the publisher. 13. The bulk discounts quoted in the advertising rates are valid only for ads of a particular advertiser that actually appear within that calendar year. The advertiser retrospectively receives the discount on ads actually run only when he has made a comprehensive contract from the beginning of the year that on the basis of these rates that justifies the discount. 14. If a contract of this kind is not fulfilled because of circumstances beyond the publisher’s control, the contractor - irrespective of any legal obligations - must restore to the publisher the difference between the guaranteed discount and that what corresponds to the effective reduction in advertising. In the case of bankruptcy or settlement by the contractor, the discount does not apply. 15. Our invoices are payable immediately on receipt without cash discount. In the case of delayed payment, interest will be charged at 8 % over the prime rate currently being offered by the Austrian National Bank, in accordance with Article 1333, Par. 2 of the AGBG (Austrian Civil Law). Further the rate and collection fees referred to in Article 1333, Par 3 of the “Title” on payment delays will come into force. 16. Any billing complaints must be made within 14 days of the original billing date. 17. Complaints of deficiencies for other defects under the guarantee must be reported in writing within eight days.n. 18. Delays in payment can lead to cancellation of ongoing contracts or the refusal of further advertising by the defaulter until such time as the back payments have been made good. 19. Any price changes immediately affect ongoing contracts. 20. Vienna is the place of delivery and the exclusive court of Jurisdiction. Austrian Law is applied excluding the rules of Austrian International Civil Law and the UN Convention. 21. The contractor explicitly agrees to be informed on the publisher‘s special offers per telephone, fax, e-mail, SMS etc. also in form of mass mailings and for advertising purposes. This agreement can be withdrawn at any time. 11. Advertisers contracting for box-numbered classified ads are responsible for the timeliness and complete return of any documents accompanying the letters to the box number. Any mailing received that abuses the printer’s box number service will not be released.
