A common project that is based on the collaboration
between the Chambers of Commerce of ForlìCesena and Ravenna, involves the two areas in
the development of multi-faceted enterprises and
activities that aim to promote the tourist industry
in Romagna. This is the idea behind a unified
project that involves bodies and organizations
in an experience that does not merely aim to
commercialize products, but rather, which wishes
to enhance a culture and its unique traditions.
Coastline, hills, Spa centres, quality food and
wine are just some of the elements of a complex
reality in which the beauty of art cities and cultural
opportunities blend with the excellence of arts and
crafts and catering products. The creation of a
“network” between these different areas is the key
to boost competitiveness, by enriching the tourist
business with new and novel opportunities.

Romagna is rich in unique food and wine, from its
extraordinary production of fruit (peaches, kiwis,
apples, pears, and cherries) to the unique flavour of its
shallots, from the extra virgin olive oil of Brisighella and
of the Romagna hills to delicious fresh cheeses such as
Squacquerone - which is perfect with His Royal Highness
the Piadina (traditional flat bread) - or Raviggiolo cheese
from the Tuscan and Romagna Apennines; not to mention
stronger cheese such as that which is matured in the
caves of Sogliano al Rubicone. As for meat? The choice
ranges from fresh meat cuts from the Romagna breed
of cattle to the flavoursome salamis and hams of the
“Mora Romagnola”, a typical breed of pig that is black.
However, Romagna is not just synonymous with land
produce, as it also offers a whole array of sea products.
How to resist succulent oily fish or the “White Gold
of Cervia” - sea salt that is hand processed and that is
renowned to gourmets for its delicate flavour? To pay
homage to this richly laden table, where first courses of
hand made pasta are a must, we raise our glasses that
are filled with excellent Romagna wines: from Sangiovese
to Albana, from Trebbiano to Pagadebit, and Cagnina.
