March 2007 - Oldsmobile Club of Arizona
MARCH 2007 20th ANNUAL ALL OLDSMOBILE SHOW by Gloria Varley On Saturday, February 24th the Oldsmobile Club of Arizona held it’s 20th annual All Oldsmobile Show at the Rock N’ Roll McDonald’s in the Scottsdale Pavilions Shopping Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. The show was kicked off with a Welcome Dinner the evening before with over 60 people present and lots of good food. After worrying all week about whether it was going to rain or not, the weather was perfect. It was a little cool for those who set up in the morning, but for the rest of the show it was in the 60’s and sunny. That is certainly better than the 90 degree weather we had a few years ago! Although the show was not quite as big as last years, we still had over 100 cars in attendance, including cars from Arizona, Texas, California, Wisconsin, Washington, and Canada. Oldsmobile Club of America President, Pat Yancey and his wife Margaret brought a group of cars with him from Texas. The folks from Canada won the Long Distance Award for driving their 2003 Aurora over 2,000 miles to come to the show. Not only did we have a great time and see a bunch of nice cars, we raised over $500 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
