L O W Y E L For office use only: ck#__________________________ amt $_______________ E-mail Address__________________________ Boys and Girls, Grades 2–6 June 21–25, 2010 (Soccer) July 12–16, 2010 (Basketball) Fun and challenging for younger players, Cedarville’s Soccer Day Camp and Basketball Day Camp are great ways to learn new skills, make friends, and develop biblical character. WHO Boys and girls in grades 2–6 WHAT Day camps focus on fundamental skill development in a fun, creative, game-centered environment. Parents are welcome to send a small snack with their child. Daily schedules include a short snack break. Time will also be set aside to consider a biblical character quality and its application to daily life. WHEN June 21–25, 2010 (Soccer Day Camp) July 12–16, 2010 (Basketball Day Camp) Check in at 8:30 a.m. on Monday in the Doden Field House. Camp runs from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. each day. WHERE Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio Soccer camps take place at the soccer fields. Basketball camps take place in the Doden Field House. COST Early Registration: $75 per student before June 19 (Soccer) and July 9 (Basketball) Late Registration: $85 per student Fee includes T-shirt, certificate, and awards. SPONSORS SOCCER DAY CAMP DIRECTOR: BEN BELLEMAN Coach Ben Belleman completed his ninth season this past fall as head coach of the Cedarville University men’s soccer team and has a106-69-16 record. He has led the Yellow Jackets to the NAIA playoffs four of his nine seasons and advanced to the NCCAA national tournament four times. The Yellow Jackets have earned the prestigious Sportsmanship Award at the NCCAA National Tournament three times and the coveted American Mideast Conference Fair Play Team Award on two occasions. Belleman is a fourtime NCCAA Midwest Region Coach of the Year and was tabbed the American Mideast Conference South Division Coach of the Year in 2005, the same year he was inducted into the OSSCA Hall of Fame. BASKETBALL DAY CAMP DIRECTOR: JASON BESCHTA Jason Beschta is in his second season as an assistant coach on the Cedarville University men’s basketball staff. He joined the Yellow Jackets with seven years of collegiate coaching experience. Before signing on with Cedarville, Beschta spent the previous four seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Minnesota-Moorhead. He started his coaching career with a one-year stint as an assistant at his alma mater in Dayton, Tennessee. Beschta is a 2001 graduate of Bryan College with a degree in exercise science. He played four years for the Lions and was a three-time Team MVP. A two-time NAIA All-American, Beschta graduated as the school’s second all-time leading scorer with 2,132 points. He played high school basketball at Worthington Christian High School near Columbus, Ohio, under former Yellow Jacket head coach Ray Slagle. A.G.
