Observations were conducted using snorkel in the shallow backreef sites and SCUBA on the deeper forereef sites. Fish were followed by trained observers for 5min, staying 2-4 meters away. Each forereef site has approximately 15 trials for C. sordidus and each backreef site has approximately 20 trials for both C. sordidus and C. microrhinos.
