Come and join us in the kitchen! Bring your favorite recipe, Federated will provided the meat, you bring the other ingredients. Even if you don’t have a recipe you can still come. We need people to mix casseroles, cook meat, and package prepared casseroles. Casserole nights help us stock up on casseroles that are brought to bless those who have had babies, had surgery, or have lost a loved one. Sign up online, in the foyer, or email the church office at info@federatedfellowship.org. If you have any questions contact Scarlett Ford (641)204-1490. CHILD DEDICATION: If you would like to dedicate your child to the Lord, mark your calendars for Sunday, March 16. Please sign up online or let the church office know at info@federatedfellowship.org by noon on Friday, March 14. You get to choose the service, either 9 or 11am. We’ll also need to know the parents’ names, your child’s full name, date of birth, the child’s birth weight, and why the parents named the child his/her name. Please call the church office at 628-3363 if you have questions. WHAT’S INSIDE in our church Federated is growing! Therefore, we would like to update our picture directory to help us put together names and faces. Who: • Anyone who considers Federated Fellowship as their church can participate. How: You can submit an previously taken photo one of the following ways: • Email a copy with your name(s) to info@federatedfellowship.org. • Bring your picture to the church office on a flash drive or CD. • *Horizontal pictures work best* • Please do the above by Tuesday, March 25th. Don’t have a picture? • Get your picture taken at Federated on the following dates and times: Sunday, March 16th, 23rd, & 30th Between services, and after 2nd service @ 12:00-1:00pm Questions or comments, please contact the church office at 641-628-3363 or at info@federatedfellowship.org. Join us for QUILTING NIGHT on Monday, March 31. No sewing experience needed. We will be making blankets for those in Des Moines who are homeless. Mark your calendars J14 FAMILIES, for the upcoming meeting on Thursday, March 27th @ 6-7:30pm. We will be having Marlene from Bethany Christian Services come and speak to us about “The Brain, Attachment, and Transitions”. There will be a light meal, childcare, and a time for questions following Marlene speaking. We would love to have you come join us for dinner, fellowship, and some helpful information. Please RSVP to info@federatedfellowship.org by March 24th with the number of people attending and if you need childcare. THE NEST needs your help. We still have an open spot for volunteers to serve in March. We are looking for both adult and youth volunteers. Sunday, March 30-Toddler Room, 11am service. If you would like to serve on this date please either contact Denise Rodwell at (641) 295-4137 or the church office at info@federatedfellowship.org. Also let us know if you are unavailable this date but are willing to fill in open spots in the nursery in the future. Please join us for cake after the 11am service on Sunday, March 23. We will be having a going away reception for Austin Davis as he leaves soon to go into the Navy. Mark your calendars for Monday, March 24 and join us for dinner at Pizza Ranch from 5-8pm. 5% of sales and all tips and donations will go to work projects the Federated team will be doing in Alaska. THERE’S MORE our community Be a missionary! Help spread God’s word by donating your unused items to the Pella Bibles for Missions Thrift Center. Currently more furniture items are especially needed. Your donations and your purchases can help change the life of a person forever. Every $5 forwarded from sales at the Thrift Center helps provide scripture materials for people in Eastern Europe. Peoria Christian School Circle is once again selling delicious homemade DUTCH LETTERS. Order forms are available at the school office or by contacting Michelle De Haan. The cost is $42 for a dozen (12), $22 for ½ dozen (6) and individual letters are $3.75. All orders are due by Monday, March 17th. The Dutch Letters will be made on Saturday, March 29th (starting at 8:00 a.m.) and all orders must be picked up that afternoon from either the school gym or Lisa Ver Meer’s home in Pella. Speaker will be Pablo Landazuri from Ecuador who is spending a year in Pella for training to plant a church in Ecuador. Offering will be for Bibles to South America. WORK OF OUR HANDS Fair Trade Oriental Rug Event: March 26-29. Select from over 300 rugs made with the quality to last a lifetime and the Fair Trade labor standards you demand. As Christians, we have been encouraged to help others, and this rug event does just that. We are able to help over 650 people make a living wage and send their children to school by purchasing Fair Trade rugs. The event will be held at the store, 627 Franklin St., Pella. You are invited to come and shop at DE KINDEREN KLOSET on March 28 & 29. De Kinderen Kloset is a ministry of Pella 2nd CRC where our goal is to exchange high quality used children’s clothing and goods at affordable prices while benefiting local ministries. Proceeds from this year’s sale will benefit The Well Resource Center.
