Capitol of the World! With 5 operators, 40ft of snow annually and
95,000 acres of terrain, you'll ski 12‐20,000 vertical ft each day. And
in the evening you'll relax with friends, old and new, dine and tell
stories about the days epic turns. It's a little bit of heaven. 2. Whiteater Ski Resort is opening December 6th, and the snow is
falling. They are anticipating a stellar snow year with heaps of the
fluffy stuff. Visit their website to get details on special events, passes
and festivals.
3. The Civic Theatre and Capitol Theatre are chocker‐block full of
entertainment this winter. There is truly something for everyone.
4. Destination British Columbia
TRAVELLING TIP:
Winter Tires. Get them. As
of October 1st each year
travellers coming in over
the passes are required to
have winter tires. Car
rentals can provide winter
tires but these must be
booked in advance. Option B
is to take the Spokane
Shuttle from Spokane to
Nelson, which runs every
day.
