Tendances Scabal SS 15 UK
th Press release – June 6 2014 Trends scabal spring-summer 2015 The new collection has grown organically from the awareness that values and traditions are the new luxury of our times. By passing on the flame of sartorial elegance from generation to generation, we at Scabal help ensure the continuous injection of new meaning into the rules of masculine elegance. To achieve this we need to maintain control of all the processes from weaving to final tailoring. This enables us to avoid having to make compromises when it comes to quality and expression. The result that will be visible this summer is a truly advanced tailoring method created in our own factory in Germany with an increasingly strong focus on traditional techniques. Comfortable and lightweight – these are the key qualities in our contemporary approach to elegance – and we take them to hitherto unknown heights. The result is an elegant, yet relaxed style with an impeccable cut, an expression of true individuality. In addition to the lively, sophisticated colours and fabrics, our refined Spring-Summer collection comprises very subtle shades of true blue. fabrics Suits The KAPOK tree is a symbol of Mayan mythology and the national emblem of a number of different countries. This plant fibre that comes from a tropical tree is very light and is also called ‘silk cotton’. It is very soft to the touch and has excellent thermo-regulating properties. Scabal engineers have created new techniques specially to master this biodegradable fibre. This new 300g fabric that is made of 85% cotton and 15% kapok is available in a wide range of colours including white, beige, brown, red, blue and black. In addition to this fabric, the collection also includes models in 270g Bedford corduroy. This is a limited collection available in classic colours as well as bright blue and pale green. The CONDOR collection includes a wide range of 48 different 260g fabrics for high-quality COOL WOOL suits, with double twist yarns. They are light and fresh and extremely comfortable to wear in the summer. They are available in stripes and semi-fantasy checks as well as typical Scabal stripes, microscopic patterns and a wide selection of plains. Scabal presents a new 240g Super 120 collection that is ideal for suits and is called GOLDEN RIBBON. The ‘sloe’ weave of this fabric makes it easy to wear no matter what the occasion. The collection comprises light solaros fabrics with decorative patterns and shades of bright blue, tone on tone stripes and elegant plain fabrics. HOMER is an exclusive new Scabal fabric made in a very fine Super 150 wool with 1% mink. This fabric has a double-twist yarn and weighs 230g. The collection includes 29 models including checks or discreet stripes that are ideal for an elegant suit for businessmen looking for superior quality. The JASON collection that barely weighs 210g is extremely fine and light. This Super 150 fabric in plain weave will be your ally all through the summer. The collection includes 34 articles in a wide choice of plain and decorative patterns. Jackets The ACAPULCO collection is a beautiful new selection of casual summer jackets. It is available in a wide selection of varied patterns that are fresh and modern and extremely attractive: large mid blue, purple or red checks will draw gazes from all around you. And equally attractive are the Summer Darks in dark blue, brown and grey. They are made in cotton, linen and silk for guaranteed optimal comfort. The new Super 180 fabric is extremely fine and weighs 240g. It is made of a sturdy double twist yarn making it ideal for trousers, blazers and suits. The collection includes 12 models in shades of beige and blue, red, grey and black. The exclusive CASHMERE DENIM collection is made of a very high-quality 100% pure cashmere weighing 250g. It has a unique denim look for an elegant and sporty appeal. It is available in seven fashionable colours. PURE SILK is a collection of 230g pure silk fabrics for jackets. The aristocratic look of the silk and the comfort of this yarn will meet the needs for comfort of the most exacting dressers. The advantage of this collection: the plain fabrics with their special blend effect. For those who are looking for an up-to-the-minute wardrobe, Scabal has created MOSAIC, a blend of three yarns: CRISP COOL, Super 120 and Super 130, all in 230g. The collection comprises 25 different patterns from small subtle and coloured checks to decorative and contrasting patterns. readyeady- toto- wear The new 2015 Spring-Summer collection is designed around the culture of clothes and in particular: how to wear classic clothes today? Detlev Diehm, the creative director has defined what is essential for Scabal today. In its mission to ensure continuous improvement in the manufacturing process within its workshop in Germany, Scabal has created a new way of making the shoulders: they are manufactured according to traditional processes and are fine and supple for an unparalleled level of comfort. The ‘urban’ collection and the ‘weekend’ collection are different and have the same feel to them. It is possible for example to combine a dark blue jacket in tone on tone fantasy fabric with a top-of-the-range pair of jeans and a shirt in washed silk. This combination of similar tones and moods results in a very casual outfit that is at the same time very elegant. The blue suit can also be worn with a linen shirt and a pair of soft suede moccasins for an individual style that reveals a sense of freedom and yet that observes certain rules of male elegance. The cut is designed for fluidity and is your guarantee of a chic and natural appeal. The new outfits are made in classic and rather more original fabrics: plain, jacquard, stripes (which marks their great comeback) or in pure linen-look wool in shades of grey or brown. As a general rule, jackets have two buttons and patch pockets and can be lined with fantasy print fabrics or fabrics with geometric or floral designs. One of our flagship garments is a pure silk jacket with a delicate sheen for a discreetly hedonist hint of luxury. The palette of colours is subtle and includes unusual shades: tropical wood, cigar, parchment, white sand, to name but a few. You are transported to Cuba or Sumatra. The accent in this summer collection focuses in the main on a multitude of blues and a dark blue that is almost black with a subtle greyish sheen. All of which contrast beautifully with lobster red and white. The trousers are made in authentic Irish linen, cotton and kapok or washed cotton in a multitude of bright colours. The cuts without pleats continue to lead trends, but we are also seeing the emergence of new slim models with one or two pleats. The shirt collection is resolutely modern and is formal, elegant, but also casual. We are also seeing a comeback in minimalist versions of stripes. The fabrics are fine and luxurious: cotton, linen or dark denim. And for connoisseurs we have the Rare Denim collection. This comprises a selection of jeans with a selvedge finish. These top-of-the-range jeans are made using cutting-edge Japanese machines and are more resistant and have a unique look as they age. The element that is common to all the garments in the collection of knits is the use of extremely fine silk yarn. When blended with cashmere, wool or cotton, you are guaranteed the very best level of comfort and a refined finish. Week-end The Weekend Collection places the emphasis on garments with a sports allure: linen safari jackets, jackets with a freshly washed look, camouflage patterns, damascene patterns, in fine corduroy. All of these make perfect substitutes for blouson jackets and go perfectly with slick trousers or bermuda shorts. Minimalist raincoats, trench coats, light blazers, short chamois leather jackets: these all make up the collection of outdoor clothing. The range of accessories includes belts and shoes made by hand – moccasins or brogues, and knitted ties or ties in twisted or patterned silk. ABOUT SCABAL Scabal was founded in 1938.
