Area Characteristics Dallas’ Southwestern Medical District is home to the city’s most significant medical facilities. The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center & Medical School has a 400 acre campus with one of the premier research institutions in the nation. It features four (4) active Nobel Laureates, more than any other medical center in the world.
