Leave a total clearance of 75” on the main control panel side of the unit for possible removal of fan shaft, coil, electric heat, and gas furnace. Leave a clearance of 48” on all other sides of the unit for possible compressor removal or service access, and to ensure proper ventilation and condenser airflow. Do not install the unit beneath any obstruction. Install the unit away from all building exhausts to inhibit ingestion of exhaust air into the unit’s fresh-air intake. ELECTRICAL ENTRANCE LOCATIONS 8½” High-Voltage Entrance 8⅝” Low-Voltage Entrance 2¾” 22 www.goodmanmfg.com SS-CPH36-60 PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS ROOF CURB INSTALLATION — RIGGING Provisions for forks have been included in the unit base frame. No other fork locations are approved. • Unit must be lifted by the four lifting holes located at the base frame corners. • Lifting cables should be attached to the unit with shackles. • The distance between the crane hook and the top of the unit must not be less than 60”. • Two spreader bars must span over the unit to prevent damage to the cabinet by the lift cables. Spreader bars must be of sufficient length so that cables do not come in contact with the unit during transport. Remove wood struts mounted beneath unit base frame before setting unit on roof curb. These struts are intended to protect unit base frame from fork lift damage. To remove the struts, extract the sheet metal retainers and pull the struts through the base of the unit. Refer to rigging label on the unit. Important: If using bottom discharge with roof curb, duct-work should be attached to the curb prior to installing the unit. Duct-work dimensions are shown in Roof Curb Installation Instructions Manual. Refer to the Roof Curb Installation Instructions for proper curb installation. Curbing must be installed in compliance with the National Roofing Contractors Association Manual. Compressor 23½” Return Lower unit carefully onto roof mounting curb. While rigging the unit, the center of Evaporator Coil gravity will cause the condenser end to be lower than the supply air end. Condenser Supply Bring condenser end of unit into alignment Coil with the curb. With condenser end of the unit resting on curb member and using curb as a fulcrum, lower opposite end of the unit until entire unit is seated on the curb. When a rectangular cantilever curb is 37” used, take care to center the unit. Check for proper alignment and orientation of supply Corner & Center-of-Gravity Locations and return openings with duct. Unit Weights To assist in determining rigging requirements, unit weights are shown to the right. Note: These weights are calculated without accessories installed. Curb installations must comply with local codes and should follow the established guidelines of the National Roofing Contractors Association. Proper unit installation requires that the roof curb be firmly and permanently attached to the roof structure. Check for adequate fastening method prior to setting the unit on the curb. Full perimeter roof curbs are available from the factory and are shipped unassembled. The installing contractor is responsible for field assembly, squaring, leveling, and mounting on the roof structure. All required hardware necessary for the assembly of the sheet metal curb is included in the curb accessory package. • Determine sufficient structural support before locating and mounting the curb and package unit. • Duct-work must be constructed using industry guidelines. The duct-work must be placed into the roof curb before mounting the package unit. Our full perimeter curbs include duct connection frames to be assembled with the curb. Cantilevered-type curbs are not available from the factory. • Contractor furnishes curb insulation, cant strips, flashing, and general roofing material. • Support curbs on parallel sides with roof members. To prevent damage to the unit, the roof 40¼ members cannot penetrate supply and return duct openings. Note: The unit and curb accessories are designed to allow vertical duct installation before unit 14 placement. Duct installation after unit placement is not recommended. 1/ ¾ See the manual shipped with the roof curb for 14 assembly and installation instructions. 3-D VIEW 74 19½ x 13⅜ Supply Opening 28⅞ x 12½ Return Opening 5 6 1⅜ TOP VIEW 74 40¼ 37 ID POWER AND LOW-VOLTAGE BLOCK LOCATIONS Single-Point Power Terminal Block 70¾ ID Low-Voltage Terminal Block (TB1) 24 www.goodmanmfg.com SS-CPH36-60 PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS HAIL GUARD DIMENSIONS SS-CPH36-60 www.goodmanmfg.com 25 PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS WIRING DIAGRAM — CPH036/48**1D** (SINGLE-PHASE DIRECT DRIVE) PU BK BK RD RD RD GR 1 2 3 C 208 240 TR G EBTDR NO K1 R XFMR-R COM XFMR-C K1 C NC NOTE #2 SPEED M1 M2 UP BL BL RD S2 3 1 S1 TB1 BK YL/PK GND O OR O BK GR YL PU RD R RD H C WH F 3 6 9 2 5 8 1 4 7 PU GR WH DFT DF1 RCCF RD RD RD RD YL LVJB BR RD R 3 6 2 5 1 4 BL WH W2 HVDR YL OR PLF 2 YL Y DF2 BK SEE NOTE #2 L1 T1 YL BK 4 LVDR BK BK SMOKE/FIRE DETECTOR REPLACES JUMPER BR BK C C RD PU 2 2 0 8 2 4 0 / 1 / 6 0 RD L2 BK RD BK DC PB T2 PK BL BL RD BL RD RD BL BL BK BL BL 24V RD YL PLF 1 PU BR WH BR OR OR BL BL BL TB1 BL T H E R M O S T A T Y1 Y/Y2 R G W1 W2 O C PU YL RD GR SA (IF USED) SEE NOTE 4 BK RD RD PU FC 3 SPEED BK BK BR EM RD BL RD PU BR BK RD EM PU BR 3 SPEED BK RD BK FC PU BL/PK CONTROL BOX T3 T2 T1 ALTERNATE MOTOR 6-WIRES SEE NOTE 7 BL DFT YL/PK YL CM HPS COMP LPS RVC L1 L2 SUPPLY VOLTAGE 208-240/1/60 C T2 C R T1 C COMP S C H DF1 DF2 HVDR RCCF F S.A.
