Test Specification Table (Jadual Spesifikasi Ujian) Manual This template is designed to be completed in a two-tier process: Tier 1 - during development of the syllabus (by the course developer/ Resource Person (RP) / Content Expert (CE) Tier 2 - during designing of the final exam paper (by the course lecturer for the current semester) The aim of the Test Specification Table (TST or JSU) is for the assessment to: a) be consistent (from year to year, semester to semester and from one lecturer to another) and, b) address the course outcomes as specified in the syllabus. The TST (developed by the RP) is supposed to be kept together with the syllabus (either in soft copy or hard copy) and accessible to the lecturers whenever needed. When the course lecturer is requested to develop a final exam paper, he/she will have to acquire the TST (developed by the RP) and completed his/her part of the TST while complying with what has been specified by the RP. The completed TST MUST BE submitted together with the Final Exam Paper and the marking scheme to the faculty’s Exam Committee. To complete the TST or JSU, please follow the steps outlined below: STEP 1 (to be completed by RP, i.e. green-coloured cells) STEP 1 Fill in the following information: Faculty : Name of Faculty, e.g Faculty of Pharmacy Program : Program Code and/or Program Name, e.g HS220 Bachelor of Nursing (Hons Course : Course Name, e.g Ergonomics Course Code : Course Code, e.g PHT 433 Level of Study (Please choose from drop-down menu) Note - Once you have selected level of study, a proposed “PERCENTAGE OF MARKS ACCORDING TO BLOOM’S TAXONOMY” will appear in the first row of the table. Credit: (will be automatically calculated when you input SLT value) SLT : Please enter Student Learning Time as stipulated in Syllabus Formative Exam : Please enter stipulated percentage of formative assessment for the course Final Exam : Please enter stipulated percentage of final exam for the course Duration of Final Exam : (will be automatically calculated when you input total marks for the final exam) Lect Lab Marks: Tut O Please enter no.of SLT for each activity as stipulated in course syllabus Please enter TOTAL MARKS proposed for the final exam STEP 2 (to be completed by RP, i.e. green-coloured cells) STEP 2 Fill in the following information: (Table “Number of Questions Intended for this Course ” MCQ/MTF/TF Please enter total no. of questions and total marks proposed for this type of questions ST/SA Please enter total no. of questions and total marks proposed for this type of questions ES Please enter total no. of questions and total marks proposed for this type of questions O Please enter total no. of questions and total marks proposed for this type of questions Fill in the following information: (Table “Percentages of Marks according to Bloom’s Taxonomy ” Proposed marks based on level of study stated (will automatically appear when part/semester number is inputted) Proposed marks by RP/CE Please enter percentage of marks if it is NOT THE SAME as proposed by template. E.g. Modular-type course but is offered at higher semester, might need more percentage of marks at C1, C2 but not C3 Marks developed by course lecturer (will automatically be calculated once the course lecturer completes the template) Fill in the following information: Course Bloom’s Taxonomy Level Please enter number for Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor as stipulated in Syllabus (refer course vs Bloom’s matrix) CO1 - CO7 Please enter course outcomes (CO) and their corresponding Bloom’s level as stipulated in Syllabus. STEP 3 (to be completed by RP, i.e. green-coloured cells) STEP 3 Fill in the following information: TOPIC Please enter topics for the course as outline in the syllabus HRS Please enter no. of hours of lecture/delivery PER TOPIC as proposed in the syllabus (Proposed Weightage - Hours of lecture/ delivery ) Topic above addresses course outcomes Please enter which course outcome the topic addresses, e.g. CO1, CO4 Marks Allocated (will automatically be calculated based on the no.of hours inputted) Total Developed Marks (will automatically be calculated based on marks developed by course lecturer) **Note for RP Once you have completed filling in the GREEN-COLOURED cells, please do the following: 1. In Menu, click “Review” > click “Unprotect Sheet” Please enter PASSWORD (will be given by UHEK) 2.For EACH green-coloured cells that you have completed, right-hand click at the cells > click “Format Cells” > click tab “Protection” > check (√) the box besided “Locked” > click button “OK” 3. In Menu, click “Review” > click “Protect Sheet” Please enter PASSWORD (your own) 4. Click icon “SAVE AS” and save as a different filename of your choosing (e.g JSU PHT533) **Now the green-coloured cells CANNOT be changed unless using the password STEP 4 (to be completed by Course Lecturer, i.e. purple/blue-coloured cells) (Please acquire JSU file FOR THE COURSE from RP or faculty) STEP 4 Fill in the following information: Question No. (purple-coloured cells) Please enter the Question No. developed for the final exam, e.g. A1, or A1-4, or A1,4,12,23, or B2, or B3(c) , etc. Marks (blue-coloured cells) Please enter marks allocated for the corresponding Question No. e.g. A1 (1 mark), A1-4 (4 marks), B2 (5 marks) etc. Marks (Type of Questions) Please enter TOTAL MARKS (for ALL levels) for the corresponding “type of questions” of each topic. e.g MCQ - 7 marks Once completed, please enter your name and date in the cells provided at the bottom of the worksheet. Please save the file in a different filename (of your choosing e.g JSU PHT533 Jan 2012). This file must be submitted to the JK Peperiksaan Fakulti when submitting the final exam paper for vetting.
