Workshop 1: San Antonio April 30–May 2 • Marriott Plaza San Antonio SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS Workshop 2:Philadelphia June 18–20 • Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINES: San Antonio: April 22 • Philadelphia: June 10 www.ashi-hla.org/events/regional-workshops T he ASHI Education Committee cordially invites you to attend this year’s ASHI Regional Workshops in San Antonio, Texas and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Workshop Sessions are designed to introduce emerging technologies and concepts at a basic level. The faculty and topics were selected to meet the growing educational needs of the ASHI community and to especially appeal to the newest members of our community. The faculty is eager to share their expertise and experience with the attendees and provide an interactive, educational atmosphere for the novice to the experienced bench technologist and supervisor, with some essential theory and practical application in the laboratory. In addition, a Keynote Speaker will open the meeting on Thursday evening. Please make plans to arrive early, as you won’t want to miss a thing! The Education Committee encourages you to actively participate in the Workshop. Technical laboratory staff may submit a case study for the opportunity to win a $500 award! The ASHI Regionals have been developed for the technologist, so take advantage of the chance to share your own professional experiences with other colleagues in the field. Our host cities provide a wonderful opportunity for attendees to get away from the academic rigors of the sessions, so get out and enjoy your surroundings. Extend your stay in San Antonio and enjoy the famous Riverwalk’s food, shopping and galleries, and the historic Missions and the Alamo. If you’re going to Philadelphia, you can experience the historic Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, great museums and great cheesesteaks. On behalf of the faculty, we are honored to invite you to be part of the 2015 Regional Education Workshops. We hope that you find the workshops to be a rewarding and an exceptional educational experience where you can learn, exchange ideas and experiences and enhance your histocompatibility career.
