Focusing on what matters to the chefs and professionals, DESHOULIERES offers the high level of quality and service expected by the French and international gastronomy. The product is heated a first time to a 1000 celsius degrees, and then to 1400 degrees. This ensures a very high resistance to thermic and mechanical shocks. Deshoulières products are non-porous, and neither chip or crack which makes them very hygenic. 3 Stoneware Montgolfier Since 1947, MONTGOLFIER is following up with ceramic tradition of the Loire Valley. The variety and originality of its creations appeals to the gastronomes all over the world. The company maintains a tradition of genuine products handmade by high qualified craftsmen, who are able to use incredible glazing techniques to create artistic effects. 4 Porcelain Tableware Isabelle Poupinel Craftworker, designer, creator of porcelain objects, Isabelle Poupinel easily switches between tableware interior/outdoor decoration. She combines the art of mastering materials and hand-made knowhow with her sensitivity to create masterpieces. Isabelle’s extraordinary unique or limited editions pieces are full of poetry which reveals her extensive imagination. Isabelle Poupinel keeps making unique pieces on order for upscale customers and a few items are now manufactured in Limoges following on collaborations with famous executive chefs. 5 Paperstone & Wood Roger Orfèvre Since 1829, the Auvergne based Roger Orfèvre manufacture has been specialized in cutlery and tableware equipment made out of wood or paperstone, a material constituted of recycled paper. The fabrication of Roger Orfèvre products goes through the mastering of their first raw material: wood. It is bought up, taken to the sawmill then stocked in plain air for two years, which ensures the product an optimal quality. Roger Orfèvre also offers the possibility to customize any paperstone article, at no extra cost. 6 Glassware plates Catala Glass Art Catala Glass Art is the fruit of 10 years of research between Bernard Riff, a glazier, and Eric Wasser, a designer. Through their long collboration they studied fusion and glassware techniques to come up with a line of products for house, garden, decoration… All products are entirely made in their workshop, situated in Alsace, in the East of France. The uniqueness of the product’s textures, and the uniqueness of the colors are the signature of Catala Glass Art glasses, which makes them recognizable at first glance. 7 Cutlery & Holloware Couzon Couzon started in 1947, when Jean Couzon created his cutlery and hollowware in the town of Thiers, the French cutlery capitol. The brand acquired year after year an image in high range quality symbolising French refinement and know-how. Couzon became after 60 years of existence the only brand in Europe that specializes exclusively in contemporary cutlery and tableware. Couzon products are made using 18/10 stainless steel and 10/10 stainless steel for their knives, which confers them a good resistance to shocks and enables them to go through heavy usage. 8 Cutlery & Holloware Amefa Amefa is a Dutch company that specializes in high quality but affordable cutlery and tableware that was founded in 1931 by Eugen Hollaender. They have grown to becomethe second largest cutlery company in Europe and to export to over 50 countries worldwide. Their products are made using 18/10 stainless steel and 10/10 stainless steel for their knives, which confers them a good resistance to thermic and mechanical shocks and enables them to go through heavy usage. 9 Laguiole knives Forge de Laguiole Forge de Laguiole produces the only Laguiole truly 100% manufactured in Laguiole town in France. Forge de Laguiole offers a wide range of traditional and design table knives and their legendary flagship knife: the corkscrew sommeliers. Designers, fashion designers and even several of the best French chefs reinterprated the traditional Laguiole and gave to this knife a modern appearance with pure and elegant lines: Philippe Starck, Andrée Putman, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Hilton McConnico, Olivier Gagnère… Once a knife used locally, it has now become a cult object, a design benchmark and a synonym of the French gastronomy. 10 Cutlery Perceval In 2008, Yves Charles, a Michelin-starred chef in Paris, decided to devote all his energy to Perceval and took over the company to create his perfect kitchen knives. The Chef worked for 4 years to shape a new range of 9 kitchen knives designed to meet all the haute cuisine professionals’ needs: a knife for chefs designed by a chef. All products are 100% made in Thiers, out of the best quality stainless steel, and using a cold forging technique, which confers the knive a great resistance and solidity. Yves Charles is solely responsible for the design of every Perceval knive. 11 Glassware Lehmann Glass After 30 years of glass-making, Gérard Lehmann, founder of Verrerie de la Marne and Gérard Basset, most successful sommelier in the world, have decided to share their expertise and knowledge to create formidable collections of oenological tools: the Lehmann glasses. Lehmann Glass cleverly combines modern and traditional design, offering both machine-blown and mouth-blown patented-glasses to meet the oenological requirements of wine lovers. 12 Crystalware Cristallerie de Montbronn The Cristallerie de Montbronn has its origin from a glassworks founded in 1930 by Mr. Joseph L. Ferstler. From father to son, the love of the craft has been handed down through generations, respecting the handiwork of a very old art. Specialized into overlaid cased crystal, Cristallerie de Montbronn offers a wide range of 8 colors. All pieces can be customized with a gold or platinum rim, engrave logos or coats of arms or initials, in matt or in gold engraved.
