This person will complete an assessment and help to complete all documents related to receiving services, and can always be reached for any questions. Each county in NJ has their own office, so you need to contact the office in your county. Of those, only two might be applicable for a child with CdLS. One is a Department of Human Services Waiver, called CRPD, or Community Resources for People with Disabilities. The other is a Community Care Waiver through the DDD. For this waiver however, your child must be registered with the DDD. The child study team evaluates the child when they are eligible for schooling (ages 3-21). Also, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVRS) provides services to individuals of employable age with disabilities.
