the tournament may be required to attend a Disciplinary Committee hearing. Players must be

be appealed.

team
• Coach to the England youth XI that played Israel in the first international youth

the final three for selection.
• Head Coach to the US World Cup team in 1969.
• First person elected to the “Texans Credit Union Soccer Walk of Fame” for
significant contributions to the development of soccer and long range growth of the
game in the state of Texas.
• In October 2006, Gordon was awarded with an MBE (Member of the British Empire)
by the Queen of England, for his work in international youth soccer accomplishments
as Dallas Cup Executive Director.
Dallas Cup Executive Director:
• Dallas Cup is the Premier International Youth Soccer Tournament in the world. In its
thirty-one year history, the Dallas Cup has played host to teams and referees from
over 45 states in the United States, and 100 countries and six continents. Attracting
over 150,000 spectators each year. Many of the world’s top soccer stars including
David Beckham, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, all from England, Raul (Spain),
Edmilson and Kleberson (Brazi) have participated in the Dallas Cup in the last 30
years.
• Responsible for working with the Shimon Peres Centre in Israel and bringing the
U12 Peace Team to the Dallas Cup in 2004 and 2005, a team comprised of nine
Palestinian and nine Israeli boys who homestayed with American families with boys of
the same age. “The most rewarding and emotional experience of my life”, stated
Jago.
• Worked with the City of Dallas, Hyperion Resources and the Iraq Soccer Federation
to bring in the Iraq U14 National Team to compete in Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXVII
(2006). The Iraqi team participated in Dallas Cup’s HomeStay Program (housing &
meals provided by a local team of the same age) for their 10-day visit to the United
States. While in Dallas, the boys met with Mayor Laura Miller and the Dallas City
Council, as well as attended their first ever professional basketball game.
• The Dallas Cup brings together youth from around the world for a week of
competition, fun and enjoyment to experience the unique brand of Texas hospitality,
to make new friends and renew old friendships. “To bring teams from the most
famous clubs in the world, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Inter Milan to boy’s
youth clubs such Knowsley Youth and Whitley Bay Rovers to the Dallas Cup is one of
the most rewarding tasks that you could ever wish for,” says Jago.
