The Future Is Orange employee campaign launched on January 13th with great fanfare.
ORMC employees celebrated the start of the employee giving campaign with photo
booths, treats, and giveaways. Over 100 employees committed to gifts on that day, and
the number continues to grow daily. The Future Is Orange campaign goal is 500 employee
gifts. As an incentive to contribute, an employee donor will be randomly selected each
Friday for the next five months to win a prize, which will range from gift certificates to
electronics.
This is an exciting time in the hospital’s history and in the development of the region’s
health care system. Donors can have significant impact on both. The campaign will
seek charitable gifts from the entire hospital family, as well as gifts from area residents

Over the holidays, the Orange Regional Pediatric Center received thousands of dollars in
toy donations in response to The Child Life Program, which created a wish list of toys from
which donors could choose.

The Future Is Orange campaign is about
where our hospital is going and how
your continuing support can make that
happen. This latest expansion brings the
hospital’s outpatient services to a new
level of patient comfort and amenities.
It creates a healing environment for
cancer patients like no other. It also
secures the hospital’s expanding role
as a teaching institution, and not only
for medical students, residents, nursing
and technology students, but for existing
physicians as well.
The campaign fuels the hospital as a
regional economic engine, expanding
jobs and training medical professionals
right here, so they can stay local and
improve the quality of life for our families
and our neighbors.

New Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging Rooms
Celebrated
Orange Regional Medical Center recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its three
newly-enhanced Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging Rooms. The rooms feature wall murals and
multisensory distractions, including soft music.
Orange Regional’s enhancements to its Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging Rooms were made

outstanding Orange Regional pediatric
caregiver. The Middletown Kiwanis Club
made an honorary gift to the Orange
Regional Pediatric Center in the name of
Jennifer Harker, R.N.
“We are eternally grateful to the Auxiliary
members for their commitment to our
hospital in what has been a banner year
for them,” said Dauster. “They have worked
incredibly hard to raise funds to help us
complete our pediatric campaign, and now
to make one of the first major gifts to our
new campaign for the expansion project.”

Suzanne showed incredible strength and courage befor

even walked into the doors of ORMC on the day
she came
upon a patient outside in his vehicle who had stopp
ed
breathing. Suzanne assessed his condition and start
ed
compression, while Laura went to get help.
Due to the quick response of Suzanne and Laura,
everyone
in the Emergency Department, and security, the
ORMC
team was able to save the patient’s life. Without
the quick
thinking of Suzanne and Laura, I don’t think the
patient
would have survived.

when I ask them if they want to see our
art menu,” said Jane. “It really can be
transformative.”

takes multiple x-ray pictures of each breast
from many angles. “3D mammography is
particularly efficient with dense tissue,”
shared Nathaniel E. Margolis, MD, Medical
Director, Breast Center. “This test will
result in fewer image call backs – an often
stressful experience for the patient.”
• Bariatric Surgery Table has a higher weight
capacity. This purchase represents the
replacement of equipment.

Give Up Grooming
For ORMC Breast Center
The Port Jervis Police Department participated in No-Shave
November to benefit Orange Regional Medical Center’s Ray W.
Moody, M.D. Breast Center. The department donated $2,800 to the
Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation for cancer awareness
and education at the Breast Center.
The PJPD’s participation was part of a national effort where men are
encouraged to give up their razors and let their facial hair grow as
a show of support for cancer patients, who typically lose their hair
during cancer treatments.
