 By Susan Brindisi, Intel Re ree Organiza on Site Coordinator The re ree luncheon for Massachuse s was held on‐site in F17, HD2 Annex on Friday, Nov 14th from 11:30‐1:30. We had a great turnout with 72 re rees and guests a ending. We had a very enjoyable lunch buffet with some delicious deserts as well. Thank you, Bon Appe te! The plant manager, Jon Olson, gave an update on F17. At this me we had a poten al buyer and were mee ng o en with lawyers for both sides to discuss all the legal aspects. That a ernoon the deal unfortunately fell through. Jon sent out an email to employees later that day le ng folks know the factory will be closing in the WW11 meframe. A ques on was asked about the contents of the factory and Jon said that half the equipment had been sold. Another ques on asked was if employees who re red a er the announcement to close the factory was made will be invited to the Finale Celebra on. Jon replied that as of now we have over 500 employees and guests a ending the Finale and informed us that re rees would not be invited. We ended the event with the door prize raffles and some employees came in to visit their friends and co‐workers. We’d like to give a big Thank You to Pat Papaila for organizing the event. I could not have done this without her exper se! Also, thanks to Jon Olson, our guest speaker, for taking the me out of his busy schedule to update us on the factory and accommodate the Intel Re ree Organiza on.
