Writer Portfolio Jackie Villacci Writer Work Experience July 2008 — July 2009 :: Writer, Javelin Direct, Irving, TX Movin’ up! With aquired skills wrote business pitches, internal PR, award submissions, AT&T DSL, U-verse and 411 for general and local market. Responsibilities included, but not limited to, client presentations, leading brainstorms and working closely with art directors to produce concepts/campaigns with outstanding response rates. March 2008 — June 2008 :: Freelance Journalist, The Fashionistas, Dallas, TX The Devil wears Balenciaga. While maintaining my Javelin job, I reported on local charity events. Interviewed local and national celebrities, designers, and managers of exclusive boutiques such as the newly opened Carolina Herrera store. April 2007 — July 2008 :: Jr. Writer, Javelin Direct, Irving, TX I love timelines in an organized agency! Wrote for AT&T DSL and 411 for general and local market. Responsibilities included, but not limited to, leading brainstorms and working closely with art directors to produce concepts/campaigns that made you scratch your head or say, “Oh cool!” Either way, the work made audiences react. Client List: AT&T Brown-Forman Wine Capital One The Fashionistas General Mills IKEA Sony Susan G. Komen Virgin Vines Wine YogaSport Dallas November 2006 — April 2007 :: Jr. Writer, PowerPact, Dallas, TX A solid place in the agency world, my ideas were taken seriously in creative brainstorms and radio writing/production for IKEA. Generated promotional concepts and copy for Brown-Forman wine, General Mills, Susan G. Komen, Capital One and touched on Sony. Usually with only a two-day turnaround, which kept me on my toes. March 2006 — November 2006 :: Creative Assistant, PowerPact, Dallas, TX This was my foot in the door of advertising. While being a professional gopher as the executive creative director’s assistant, I gained opportunities in radio production, client presentations, production mock-ups and expense reports, all within a fast-paced environment. March 2005 — January 2006 :: Traffic Coordinator, Gemmy Industries, Coppell, TX First job out of college that taught me that I did not wish to spend my time creating spreadsheets and planning project deadlines for copy writing, photography, and design for high-profile project orders for New Line Cinema, Disney, and Twentieth Century Fox.
