Dr. Wendell, as he is known to patients and parents alike, uses his mild, warm personality to create a friendly, approachable
environment that is inviting to those of all ages. He is calm and easily adapts to each child’s needs and manner.
He is also highly skilled in the area of pediatric dentistry and the use of oral conscious sedation to treat medically-compromised and
special needs children or those who may be anxious and unable to comfortably cope with dental care.
Dr. Wendell received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple
University School of Dentistry, where he earned the “Award for Exceptional Ability in Children’s Dentistry.” Dr. Wendell received
his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Temple University Hospital, Episcopal Division, Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program
where he was awarded the “Best Clinician Award.”
Licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Dr. Wendell is a Diplomat with and Certified by The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a
member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) and Southern
Dental Society of New Jersey (SDSNJ). He is active in “Special Smiles,” a Philadelphia-based program to provide dental treatment to adults with special needs.
About Dana Chianese, DMD

Dr. Chianese is a third generation dentist, following in her father’s and grandfather’s footsteps. During her third year of dental
school she realized her love of children would play an important role in her profession.
Dr. Chianese received her undergraduate education at Villanova University and her dental degree at Monmouth Medical Center in
Long Branch, where she was chief resident. There, she was awarded the Dr. Mark McIntyre Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in
Dentistry. Dr. Chianese completed her pediatric dental residency at Temple Hospital/Episcopal Division in Philadelphia. Once again,
she was made chief resident and awarded the Episcopal Hospital Pediatric Dentistry Achievement Award for displaying the most
outstanding contributions to the residency program. Dr. Chianese is certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Pisarcik received her bachelor degree in science from Penn State University. In 2007, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine
degree from Temple University School of Dentistry. She is currently licensed to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is
also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Since graduating dental school, Dr. Pisarcik has practiced general dentistry exclusively on children. She began her dental career
as a general dentist working in pediatric dental offices. Committed to providing the best care possible, she decided to further
her education and specialize in pediatric dentistry. She completed her pediatric residency program at Temple Hospital/ Episcopal
Division in 2012. She has passed the written portion of her pediatric board certification and is eligible to sit for the oral portion of
the exam. She is licensed to provide conscious oral sedation in the dental office.

Dr. Green has always had a passion for working with children. With patience, empathy and enthusiasm, she focuses on creating
experiences that are non- threatening and relatable to all ages.
Born and raised in South Jersey, Dr. Green graduated from George Washington University with honors and continued directly to
dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry, where she obtained her DMD. After dental school, she completed advanced
hospital training in multiple specialties at Newark Beth Israel Hospital’s general practice residency. Dr. Green then joined a large
practice in Philadelphia focusing her practice primarily on children and patients with special needs. She decided that she truly loved
working with children and was accepted to and completed her pediatric specialty training at Temple University’s Episcopal Hospital
in Philadelphia.
In addition to her love of pediatrics, Dr. Green has a long time affinity for working with people with special needs and for outreach projects. While in
college at George Washington University she became closely involved with the Special Olympics, an organization she greatly supports and continues to
participate with yearly. In addition, Dr. Green has been honored with the opportunity to travel to Haiti, twice, with a team of dentists to provide treatment
to people in need. The skills and lessons she has been granted in these experiences have helped to shape her treatment philosophies and love for what
she does.

About Gerry Corsi Jr., DMD
Dr. Corsi recently established the general practice portion of Holdbrook Dental, allowing families to take care of all their entire
dental needs under one roof. Dr. Corsi is skilled in restorative dentistry, including white composite fillings, ceramic crowns, veneers,
whitening and implant restoration. For the anxious patient he also offers nitrous oxide sedation. For patients with special needs
who cannot be seen in the average office setting, Dr. Corsi offers services done under general anesthesia at the Surgical Center of
South Jersey. Dr. Corsi received his BA in biology at the University of Richmond, where he was a member of Beta Beta Beta; National Biological
Honor Society and a Bonner Scholar. He later earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple University School of
Dentistry where he finished in the top 10 % of his class and was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Corsi is currently licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New Jersey Dental
Association (NJDA) and the Southern Dental Society of New Jersey (SDSNJ).

A: Conscious sedation aids in allowing a child to better
handle dental treatment. This can help prevent
injury to the child from patient movement and

Dr. Holdbrook has had such training and currently
performs office sedation on a daily basis. He carefully
follows the guidelines set forth by the American
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the State of

Who should be considered for sedation?
A: Children who have a high level of anxiety, or those
who are very young and do not understand how
to cope in a cooperative fashion for the delivery
of dental care, should be considered for treatment
while under sedation. This procedure is also often
helpful for some children who have special needs.

There will be instances in which patients may not be candidates
for in-office sedation due to their medical condition. To
determine if conscious sedation is an appropriate treatment
option for your patient, Dr. Holdbrook consults with the family
and evaluates the child’s overall health.
