Greeting Brothers and Co-Workers:
I hope everyone is fine and doing well. I also hope everyone is keeping cool and enjoying the summer.
I also need to thank some people that have helped improve the looks of our great
Lodge. I need to thank Ed and Ryan for helping me stain the benches and picnic tables.
I really need to send thanks to Cody and Ran, they are the two individuals that power
washed the benches and picnic tables. They also washed the front of the building and
cleaned the windows and the glass doors. So I ask you to thank them when you see
them.
As long as I'm on this topic, let's talk about volunteers. Volunteers are very important and needed at the Moose Lodge. We need volunteers to assist with cooking in
the kitchen and with other project in the Lodge. I know that we all get busy and sometimes it is hard to make time to give some of your time to the Lodge. What I am asking
each and every one of our great members to do, is please try to volunteer at the Moose.
Number 1 you will have fun and make a couple new friends. That is how I got to know
a lot of the members I know. It would be great if we could get enough volunteers to be
able to have are kitchen used three to four nights a week, instead of one or two. I ask all
of the members to consider this. If you have any questions ask myself or someone you
may know who volunteers. Become more involved in your Lodge and enjoy the experience you will have with the great people who come to the Lodge.
As we look forward to August we have a couple of events going on at the Lodge. On
the 13th we have Military Appreciation Day (yes we do need some volunteers to help).
On the 20th we have the annual Moose Golf Tournament. On the 27th is all you can eat
Pasta Night, sign up for that, it sounds very good.
I also want to congratulate Ed Neumann for receiving the Governor's Award of Excellence. Way to go Ed. I also need to congratulate the Lodge for receiving the Premier
Lodge Award. This award was earned by all the great members of the Lodge. Great job
everyone.
I look forward to seeing our Lodge grow and become greater than we already are.
God bless Mooseheart and Moosehaven!!
