Chamber annual meeting to recognize local business leaders, achievements The Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 105th Annual Meeting and Recognition Program Monday, Oct. 29 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.at the Oshkosh Convention Center. The event will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. followed by an awards presentation. Some of the honors to be awarded are Small Business of the Year and the Woman of Achievement Award. The Small Business of the Year award is given to a company that has staying power, experienced growth in sales, has shown innovation and is a supporter of the community. The Woman of Achievement Award is presented to a woman who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to her profession and the community. Other awards to be given out include: the Alberta Kimball Community Service Award, the Ambassador of the Year Award, the Outstanding Chamber Volunteer Award, the Distinguished Service Award, the Lynne Webster Leadership Award, the Stephen Mosling Commitment to Education Award, the Young Professionals award and the Enterprise of the Year award. In addition to presenting awards, the Oshkosh Chamber will recognize businesses celebrating milestone anniversaries of 25, 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150 years of being in business.
