Google SketchUp Pro w/ Podium Installation
Insert the Installation CD into the CD/DVD drive.
The installation wizard should start automatically.
If the wizard does not start automatically then open “My Computer”
and Explore/Open the CD/DVD drive. Then double-click on the
“setup.exe”
Click NEXT to continue.
Select Google SketchUp Pro and Podium for SketchUp, Componenet &
Material Libraries to install and click NEXT to continue.

Click INSTALL to start the installation.

Click NEXT to continue with the installation.
Read and accept the license agreement. Click NEXT to
continue.

Choose Destination Location. Changing the default location is not
recommended. Click NEXT to continue.
Click INSTALL to start the Google SketchUp Pro installation.

Click FINISH to complete the Google SketchUp Pro portion of the installation.

Podium Intallation
The installation wizard for Podium should automatically start after the Google
SketchUp Pro installation has finished. Click NEXT to continue.
Browse to the folder where your Google SketchUp Pro was installed. Note: If
you did not change the default location when installing the Google SketchUp
Pro then you do not have to change this default location. Click NEXT to
continue.

Select the components to install and click NEXT to continue.
Click INSTALL to continue.

Click FINISH to complete the Podium installation.

Click FINISH to complete this library installation.
The following steps to configure and share files should be completed by a
network administrator. These steps should be used as a basic guideline only.
Create a shared folder on a server or a computer that will be available when
users use SketchUp.
Note: A share on the local computer is required for single computer
installation.
Create a folder.

Right Click on the new folder and choose “Sharing and Security”.

Click on the link “If you understand the security risks but want to share files without
running the wizard, click here”.
Choose “Just enable file sharing” and click OK to continue.

If your computer is not configured for file sharing then you will see dialogs shown on page
12 and 13.
Enable the options as shown and click OK to continue.
Skip to page 14 if your computer is configured for Advanced File Sharing.

License Google SketchUp Pro
Start Google SketchUp Pro from one of the shortcuts created during the installation.
Choose “Enter License” from the SketchUp Pro Evaluation Dialog.
Click SKIP from the first SketchUp Authorization dialog.
Complete the next SketchUp Authorization dialog.
1. Enter your Registered User Name
2. Enter the Company / Organization
3. Enter the Serial number that was emailed to you.
4. Enter the Authorization number that was emailed to you.

You will need to copy the server.dat file and insert it onto all other computers that
have SketchUp 6 installed. Paste to C:/Program Files/Google/Google SketchUp 6
Click OK to Finish the installation.
Authorize all other installations of Google SketchUp Pro.
To authorize the other installations follow the steps above (Fig. 44) or copy
the SERVER.DAT file from the first installation to the other installations.
The SERVER.DAT is located in the Google SketchUp Pro installation
folder. ie. C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 6\support. Place a
copy of the SERVER.DAT file into the same folder on the destination
computers as it was located on the source computer.
