ORECRUSHER
MAY 9 2015: The Orecrusher XC is a multilap classic cross-country mountain bike race
through the Cheekeye Fan single-track trails of
Brackendale. The Orecrusher is the first race of
the year and a great warm up for the mountain
bike race season. This makes it a prime time to
get your brand in-front of the racers and their
families for the season.
Racers ride a set number of laps of the
approximately 15 kilometer loop of single-track
trails and return to the race venue. On the last lap,
racers divert towards the finish line to the cheers
and adulation of their friends and family. The
stadium-style venue lends itself extremely well to
an expo set-up.
RACERS: : Approximately 250 racers participate
in the Orecrusher, most racers are locals.

GEARJAMMER
JULY 18 2015: The GearJammer is a 52 kilometer point-to-point cross country
mountain bike race that starts near Alice Lake, and finishes in Rose Park near
downtown Squamish. The course is a collection of favorite Squamish singletrack that both serious racers and recreational mountain bikers have enjoyed
in the past. Unlike many cross country races, the GearJammer course is 80%
single-track rather than double track or road. Those familiar with Squamish
riding will recognize many of the course’s trails including Man Boobs, 50
Shades of Green, ReCycle, Half Nelson, Power Hood and The Graduate.
The GearJammer finish line and market area is located in Rose Park across
from the Squamish Adventure Centre. Always lovely, sunny and shady, it’s a
great place to set up your company’s booth.
RACERS: Approximately 450 racers participate in the GearJammer, 24%
racers are from Squamish/Whistler/Pemberton and 76% come from the Lower
Mainland or out of province.
… the trails were a blast!
Wow, what an amazing event ...
If you want to race the best trails in Squamish,
you want to race the GearJammer.

Half Nelson. JABR covers trails mainly in Valleycliffe and the Ring Creek area and
features a new course every year.
JABR is a loop race, meaning the start and finish are in the same location. This is
great for expo setup taking advantage of the crowds at both the start and during
the race’s finish.
RACERS: Approximately 350 racers participate in the JABR, 65% racers are from
Squamish and Whistler; 35% come from the Lower Mainland. This race is quickly
becoming known as a “trail rider’s course”.
