V alue. That’s at the core of the changes that are reshaping our healthcare system. Rising costs and a growing deficit are forcing a hard look at how healthcare is delivered in this country. When it comes to value, home care and hospice stands alone. It’s our job to get the message out, making sure that legislators, regulators and consumers are informed of the important role we can play. A key challenge for leaders will be to consider their strategic options and make decisions in uncertain times. Our sector will need to establish new relationships and adapt to the new models for assuming risk and responsibility for the care we’re providing. And we’ll need to continuously innovate, looking for new ways to address the needs of those we care for. As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Home Care 100, we’re looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead. What part will you and your organization play in the next decade? How can we position our sector to be central? We’ll tackle this and more in the 2012 program.
