Order of Service - Congregation Ner Tamid
1 2 Order of Service Shofar Blowing As recorded in Numbers 10: “G-d told Moses, „Make two trumpets; make them of hammered silver. Use them for summoning the community and for sounding the call to break camp and move on. When they are sounded, the entire community is to assemble before you at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Also on your days of rejoicing, at your designated times and on Rosh-Hodesh, you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. These will be your reminder before your G-d.‟” In obedience to that commandment, I entreat you: Take heed to the sound of the shofar, The long, clarion call of the shofar, Summoning G-d‟s people to do G-d‟s will, To proclaim the good news of salvation For our Messiah‟s return draws near. Remember the sound of the shofar, Oh My people.” (The shofars are played with a Tekiah Gedolah blast) 3 Tallit Baruch Atah ADONAI Eloheynu Melech HaOlam Asher kid‟shanu b‟mitzvotav V‟tzivanu l‟heetateyf ba-tzitzit. Blessed are You, Oh L-rd our G-d, King of the Universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments And has commanded us to wrap ourselves in tzitziot. (Bamidbar/Numbers 15:38-41) How precious is Your lovingkindness O MOST HIGH! And the children of man, under the shadow of Your wings they take shelter. They shall be satified with the fullness of Your house and of the river of Your pleasures You shall make them drink. For with You is the Fountain of Life! In Your Light shall we see Light! Continue in Your loving-kindness to them who know you.... And Your righteousness to the upright of heart. B'Shem Yeshua HaMashiach, Ha OHR L'OLAM. In the Name of Messiah Yeshua, the Light of the world. 4 Ma Tovu Ma tovu, o‟halecha Yaakov, meesh-ken-o-techa Yisrael. In six days the L-rd made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed. VShamru Sh‟mot (Exodus) 31:16-17 For as the new heavens and the new earth which I shall make shall remain before Me, says the L-rd, so shall your seed, Yisrael, and your name, remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, says the L-rd. 5 Opening Prayer Praise Music 6 Sim Shalom 7 Shma / V’ahavta Sh‟ma Yisrael, ADONAI Eloheinu, ADONAI Echad. He is my G-d, my living Redeemer, the Rock of my pain in times of trouble. He is my banner and a refuge for me, the portion of my cup in the day I call upon Him.
